sparkmeister
I bought some new smaller indicators for the back of my bike and when I opened them they both have a black and yellow wire. My exsisting bike has only one wire for each indicator. Can anyone explain what I need to do now please?

sparkmeister
Have just read something... 1 wire is an earth and the other live. Strip the earth and attach to frame of the bike and then connect the live. Does this sound right?
Paul Mc
I'd just wire the earth lead into the earth for the tail lights (assuming that there is one), will perhaps take a little extra wire. Paul
fosdyke
Hi can't disagree with any of the above - connecting to the 'earth' wire for the rear lights sounds like a good idea as long as they don't use a 'return via the frame' as your indicators did. Black is usual for earth but being ordinary lights it doesn't matter which wire you use.
