mannyolicious
hi all, i recently got a 1986 yamaha fz600... not fzr600... what I want to do is make the tail "modernized" so to speak. It looks really old in the back and I know with the fzr's you can directly bolt on an r1 tail but i haven't read up on anything for the fz600. I was on bikepics.com the other day and saw 2 86 fz600s that had a tail conversion. one looked like a direct replacement with another bike and one looked customized. I emailed both but got no replies. any help would be great. ps- i am thinking of just trimming it

junker
Hey man, maybe u saw my bike on bike pics; the 88 fz600 the crappy one that is orange, white and blue, and black.... it sucks, (recently painted it) I have a very new tail however- I noticed this when i bought it... i think it is a TZ-250 tail but not 100% on that. Check out www.airtech-streamlining.com they have all bodywork for any bike, year, make, model, etc. maybe you can help me out with what my tail is. BTW my name is junker07 on there as well. And yes, that tail fits my stock seats perfectly, tail light fits fine, bolt onto tabs on bottom corners of tank and slips on from the back- ver comfortable too
