2upcopilot Posted July 9, 2008 Share Posted July 9, 2008 WOW! Just got a 08 FJR 1300, after trading in the 05 FJR because we had racked up so very many road/seat miles! Thought we were doing an upgrade, but much to our surprise, the 08 does not seem to compare to the 05. 08 is more underpowered than the 05, and most importantly, who came up with that seat design! Not someone who rides very much, that is for sure! Hard and uncomfortable, and cant ride for very long without a break. Even the copilot seat is hard and uncomfortable. For what you pay for a new bike, you should not have to shell out the extra for a custom built seat. I am going to have to, but it should not be mandatory.
