JAMESUK
Im now the proud owner of this fantastic all round Motorcycle. The only problem im struggling to find anything to lift it off the ground with to do general maintanance. I have bought paddock stands for front and back but after using the back once I noticed it marked my paint work on the rear swinging arms so im worried about using it again. I have seen from various sites these bobbins you can screw into the frame which you use to lift the bike rather than risk damaging the paint work on the rear swinging arms. The problem is the new FZ6 S2 (07 Onwards) doesnt seem to have these 6mm threaded holes they keep mentioning to screw the bobbins in. Does anyone have a solution to my problem ? Many thanks
R1evad
try gaffer tape on the swing arm before you use the stand, or some old inner tube stuck to the pads of your stand. Just be careful though, you dont want to make it thick enough to induce a wobble.
