Laidback Posted June 30, 2008 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Engine dies when put into gear. Looking at the wiring diagram there is a clutch switch, side stand switch and a relay. The bike has been sitting for about a year, could the clutch be stuck? It ran fine before that. I've adjusted the clutch cable. I've made sure the side stand switch is closed, next I will try starting the bike in gear with the clutch in - if that doesn't work. Does that indicate a problem with the clutch switch?
