June 27, 200816 yr Author also i can't get it to tick over properly.ON minuite it ticks over perfect and the next it ticks over at 2000 rpm.When it does finally come down it cuts out.Any ideas?
June 28, 200816 yr you have an intake air leak, i reckon. Could be a split in the carb rubber or the clamp not tightened properly.

Thanks,i have looked everywhere for a leak but there's no sign of one.When i turn the tick over screw right off it runs perfectly but just doesn't tick over.Have you heard of the throttle slide going an oval shape?Do you know where i could get one from?
