belairyami Posted June 20, 2008 Share Posted June 20, 2008 Hi there, I just bought a 78 YZ250 and am looking for other 78 YZ250 owners. I am having some carb probs, for a sec i had her ripping. I just had the carb cleaned and have not teated it yet. Anybody know how to tune a carb? Any advice? ginger0195 Posted June 20, 2008 Share Posted June 20, 2008 i found this link when searching for how to tune my own carb on my bike, very useful and accurate a worthwhile read http://www.motorcyclecarbs.com/carbs101.pdf Also the inline filter shouldn't cause the problem unless its blocked or somehow restricting the fuel flow. is the tank made of metal? if so is it rusted inside? is it is then the filter in the fuel tap may be blocked because of the rust.
