1984 DT200L

Hi All,

I just joined the group. I have 1984 DT200L that I bought last summer and am just getting to the bike now. The problem I have is sometimes it starts and most of the time it does not.

When I bought it, it did not run. I cleaned the carb as best as I could. I put a new battery in and when I turned the key on, you could hear the servomotor for YPVS working, It no longer sounds when I turn the key on.

The bike would start, and run for 5 or 10 minutes, then die, usually far enough away from home base to make for a long hot push.

I have spark, and I have fuel at the spark plug as it is wet.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME????? I would really like to ride this bike this summer, but with spark and fuel and sporadic starting, I can't figure out what to look for.
