Posted June 5, 200817 yr HI all, Just got a 1984 DT50 and went out for the first time on it today ! Started fine and have been starting everyday to keep battery charged - have noticed no problems! But today after going roughly 1 mile from my house and giving it a blast down my road its has started spluttering and whistling - when cranked to full revs it is not a ''one tone'' from the engine, its like im revving it on and off!! Also as soon as I let of the throttle is cuts out - there is also a oily liquid in the exhaust leaking out very slightly ?? CAN ANYONE HELP thanks <>Chris

June 7, 200817 yr Moderator Cheers mate ill have a look tonight!!!! <>Chris Since youve only just got it, might be worth having a look at the fuel filter, as far as i know it unscrews off the bottom of fuel tap.
