Posted June 5, 200816 yr Hello, I have a 1975 XS500 and my mechanic CUT off the cam chain instead of taking it off the right way. Now my bike has no cam chain, and me nor my mechanic can find another. Do any of you know where I may be able to find one? Thanks, Beth

June 6, 200816 yr When you find a new cam chain, find a new mechanic. i think your mechanic should be purchasing the cam chain, since he is the one who didnt use a chain breaker to pop the link out. his mistake, you shouldnt have to pay for it.
