Hey i have a ybr and was considering to change to a yzf r125 but i had a closer look and they dont impress me much apart from the fact that they look like the R6 from a certain angle my dad had to look twice to see which one was which. but i think they are an ok bike

Yeah if you want points and a fine.....

if you ride properly then you will be fine

my arguement is that if there isnt a front number plate then u dont need a front L plate

technically you still do but, i went out for months past police, both normal and traffic, then dont care.

but if it makes you feel better or you arent to confident with your riding leave it on.

See your point here. unfortunatly the police see it different, yes it does depend on which one you get.....You have no say on which policeperson is around the bend. I was stopped in Scotland 2 years ago on my YBR125 for having no front L plate on...they gave me an escort to the nearest garage, which was 25 miles away..I wouldnt mind but they left there blues on so it looked like I was escaping!!! it could have cost me loads, I would have had to leave the bike were it was, miles from civilisation, a fine and points, but all it did cost was just a new set of Ls and a ticking off.

Its upto you, but I learned.....Trim it down a bit, that seems to be ok (although there is supposed to be the same white showing as red.

And Shokz right with the riding...if your confident, peeps dont even give you a second glance...just dont do anything stupid.

I rode around for about 6 months with no L plate on the front of my YBR I go past traffic cops daily and never been stopped for it. I have now put one on just cause i had one lying around I think if i had the R12 i would move the L plate from the screen down to the wheel arch.
