rdyam1
I have a 1982 Yamaha 650. Is there anyone that can assist me with this issue. When I am changing gears the engine appears to stay revved and wont idle down. The carbs have been cleaned and synched. When I put the bike on the center stand, with the enine off, and put the gear in neutral, the back wheel rolls freely. When I shift the transmission into any gear, the back wheel feels like the clutch is still partially engaged. Just for a litle more background, this bike has been stored in a garage and hasnt been runing for 8 years, but its in great shape, and runs like a champ. Also, one other question, the RPMS at 60 MPH are sitting at 5000, is this normal to have such high RPMS. it doesnt red line till 9500. Does this bike always have such high rpms?
