Stu_B Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Hi All, I'm a newbie here as well as a newbie owner... just brought a XVS Midnight Star 1300. I'm V pleased with the bike, but I would like to fit a new exhaust, not realy interested in more performace, just more noise! :-) I have seen the Corba range advertised and was wondering if anyone had any experience of them. From the adverts it seems I also need a Fi2000R to tune the injectors... Again would love some feedback Thanks in anticipation Stu
purplesarah Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Hey there, Im not sure about cobra pipes, as I have only recently bought my first big bike ( well big for me anyway lol). I ordered some Vance and Hines Cruzers for my xvs650 which have arrived this morning but cant put them on until my bike comes back from being restricted lol. Apparently they have big bike noise, Im not sure about added performance as i am not bothered about that either. They only cost 235 from a shop on ebay! ( a lot less than they are on other customising stores sites). They do not have mufflers/ silencers with them so if your local bobby stops you then you are buggered, but apparently all vance/hines exhausts are not really road legal over here anyway. Ill let you know when i have fitted mine, I cant wait!!

asuquo Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Hi asuquo, thanks for the reply, looks like I need to search ebay! sounds like you got a real bargin. Have you heard about the air box mod, that supposed to help with extra power?... Stu Hello stu i think i was just fortunate to be looking at the right time as i have not seen any since.Best bet is to google them and there are a few companys here who import them from usa.Not heard about that air box mod stu, tell me more. This is my first bike and i am more than happy with power at mo.might look at it later.Cheers
Stu_B Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 asuquo, re air box, its just a case of taking it off and drilling loads (80+) small holes in the back of the air box... Havent tried it myself, I thought I might wait till its had it 600 mile service, and frankly like you, I'm not sure I need more power! What I do need is more noise, and a screen, not sure they add to the looks much, but my old arms are getting a bit stiff! All the best Stu
