Looking forward to this, I’ve been wanting to do it for as long as I can remember, it would be great if we could meet up with Blackhat & Jimmy at some point on our travels Drewpy is coming with me to Oban now, originally he was heading back to Perth last day but now we’ll be in Oban from Thursday 12th till Saturday 14th if anyone fancies meeting up let us know  :beerchug:

Be nice but my bike has nowhere near the abilities to do that run, just getting to the start would be an epic.

The most i have ever got from the tdr on a tank was 119miles, that was coasting into the petrol station with a dead engine after running completely dry. That was cruising miles too, not blasting. Fast A road work drops the tank range into the 70's.

Mind i have seen tdr's  on the TDR forum in Europe with fuel cans as part of the luggage. Suppose it is possible in theory. Something to think on in the future.

Ah .just seen this,, dont worry about the Applecross road,  [ i hate it, too narrow ] thers plenty of good roads,  i will meet you for part of the run,,

And jason " its lots of B roads,  so 30/40mph,  as its passing place kinda roads, [ ok on a bike tho]  ,And its not dull riding from England,  from Drewps area - take the A65 -to Kendall .then old A6  to shap,,  small bit ofM6  to Carlisle -then A7 to Edinbrugh, all good roads, its not a race ,so enjoy the scenery,

Just looked at  the planned route.   it looks like ,Perth -Kinlochewe   ON THE SUNDAY,   is that right,.  wheres your hotel /b&b ,  on the first night,

[yeh, after you get to perth i mean ,from Englandshire ,] ?
