I bought my bike a few months ago, as soon as I bought it I noticed all of my electronics would shut off then the bike would backfire and then shut off completely. The bike would act like the battery was dead. I replaced the stator and regulator along with all of the plugs and fuel filter and battery. Everything was going good the bike was running very well for a week or so and all of the sudden the same thing began to happen again. In the interest of saving money I did buy an off brand type regulator and stator. Any suggestions on what to do now?

Yeah i have a couple.

1. Post and intro in the new members area

2. Buy or borrow a multimeter (if you don't already have one)

3. Charge the battery and then start the bike. At tickover you should have around 13.5v across the battery terminals, this should increase to around 14v if you increase the revs.

Report back your findings when you've done this
