:headscratch: it's going to be a bugger wiping your arse with a broken finger andy.

I expect you would be eager to help Kev.

I assume the Citroen used no indicators, or anything...

Are they insured?

Bad news to hear, but glad that you and the bike are relatively OK.

Just hope you can get back on the road before we start getting some proper good weather!

no indicators, wasn't even in the position that would tell me he was going to turn (usual alert sign for me). slowed right down near to the curb so i went around, then he accelerated and turned into me to get to his vacant spot opp the road.

Glad you're ok - same happened to me a couple years ago. Luckily only a twist and go and only cracked the fairing and bruised my knee.

Fuckin hell, hope you dont get screwed by the insurance co,it prety hard to put a dollar value on that bike that would be fair to the amount of work and time you have into it.

I have what's called agreed value insurance. its for classic bikes and stops them being written off for £5 when in reality they are £2k+

Glad its repairable, my old Swift got written off because the car was only worth about £1000 and the repairs were quoted at around £400, would hate to see such a rare classic bike meet the same end :(

if you need a runabout in th mean time, there's a DT50 over here in need of a spin!

update;

driver has admitted liability, which stops all the shenanigans. His insurance phoned me and apologised :pumpking:

and they are sending an engineer round to inspect the bike.

bankstone are handling the claims and looking at their site are specialists in motorcycle claims. so far so good

That's really good Drewps. My old Mini had an agreed value with the insurance company and takes so much stress away for any such incidents.

got a call and the driver has admitted fault.

so solicitor coming round tomorrow morning and awaiting the assessor to look at the bike.

as I am on agreed value, the ins normally call it if more than 65% of value. This means that I have £1600 to play with, so should be ok.
