Sorry guys and gals bit of a rant this one but it gripped my shit good and proper last night.

Im not what you would call a big "gamer" and to be fair i could live with out a games console very well and live a happier life, i probably play my Xbox for about 2hrs a week if that.

Now im sure you have heard about this game Grand theft Auto 5? that massive hit and big seller, well this is what i've been playing every now and then and is what my rant is about. this game cost £45 brand new which is the normal cost of a new game so i didn't mind paying that as i wanted the game, BUT once your in the game and are playing on line you then have to fork out another £40 just to have some in game money to play it! and once your oout of money but wish to continue to play the game yet another £40 and so on and so on.

Back when the game came out folks where hacking the game and getting free money which Microsoft didn't like as they where dipping out on a shit load of cash, so they removed all that fake money from everyone and banded all those handing out fake money.

Now here is my gripe, i purchased this in game money with my own very real money, which game me £3.5m i logged in last night to play and i still had over £1.5m last time i logged off, but last night i seen that i only had £7000?? the wankers at Mircosoft had removed all of my genuinly bought money :madflame:

Tried to contact Microsoft but i couldn't rememeber my password to the e-mail address this account is set up to so had to fill in a form, to which comes back sayng that the information provided is incorrect INCLUDING my name!?

So these twats are cashing in on you buying a game, paying them to go on line, buying stupid in game money and then taking away this in game money for no reason which in my eyes is theft.

So im getting shot of this heap of shit and will continue to try and get hold of these conts to get my money back.

Do you want an ad-free experience? Join today and help support the Yamaha Owners Club.

you can buy a lot of really good games with those money you spend on this crap game :) the only GTA I recon like a good game is GTA2... of course now is a shit game but was a top game :) after GTA 2 they transform the game in a version of quake or lets kill some zombies game. the graphic is crap, the story is zero... and for this you pay money. I just can`t understand this game :)

you can contact them on customer support and ask them to change your email address, also tell them your problem. they will solve your both problems because they need your money.

Cheers guys, im not really a computer guy (games consoles, PC's mobiles etc) they just don't seam to wanna work for me,

Any ways, i rang up Xbox customer service and wasn't put on hold at all and spoke to a really nice welsh bloke but he couldn't help me out as i had to contact Rockstar who is the maker of this game. And they are in America. And yes i was put on hold. So now they have had the price of the game, the money for playing the game that they took and now £XXX out of my for the phone call.

Any ways the nice lady on the phone who sounded rather fit has now sent me an E-mail of what to do next, only drama is that i cant rememebr the password to that account :eusa_doh:

All in all they where both very helpful and hopefully i'll get my money back.

Not picking holes in yer spelling, bud... but did you mean Arma II?

That requires a 2.8 GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, an AMD 4850 and Windows XP or Vista...

Even my very low-end gaming rig (4.5GHz, 8GB, 6950, Win-7-64) blows the living fuck out of that spec, like trying to race my FJ1200 on a 125 Dragstar!!

This is why PC gaming is so much better than consoles. Yes it costs a bit more and you have to learn a little about what you're doing - But hey, I managed it!!

My cheap, crappy monitor here is 27" and has FAR better resolution than the Mrs's TV downstairs!!

Well it's a WW2 Tank game so I would have thought it would be spelt Armour 2 but I've not seen the game so you might be right.

See now you list me by saying all them numbers and stuff. All I understood then was the 2gb RAM. Even my tv confuses me and all I know is that it's a 42" plasma

Bigger is better.

you would get a much better "rush" using your hard earned on a tank of fuel instead..

The bikes doesn't let me download porn, watch movies or anything my PC can.

Also, I can't ride the bike if I've had a few beers... But I *can* still go jack an artic, gun down a drug gang and beat hookers to death with a 3-foot purple dildo in Saints Row III...!! ;)

Something like yours would be nice but its just too much money.

Looking at 500 for that kind of spec with even basic components.

That could be a set of custom JL pipes.

TBH ive got an Xbox 360, and it hasnt even been plugged in for 8 months, im always either working on the cars or the bikes or out and about on my adventures.

i remember when PS2 games were £20-£30 when they came out and i used to wait until the price dropped because that was waaay too much (bearing in mind i had only pocket money to buy them with).

when COD came out and people were queuing overnight to be the first to get it, then spending £50 on a game and all the associated tat that comes with it (wifi controllers, online membership e.t.c) i lost all interest in gaming, i may occasionally buy a game for my phone for 89p but the way i see it i can spend the same money i would to buy a game on some DT50 wheel bearings and spend a couple of evenings rebuilding wheels.

much the same reason i haven't built my own gaming PC, ive got an old toshiba laptop that i bought in a clearance sale about 4 years ago and the spec is actually as good as most mid-range laptops today, it wont run anything massively demanding but GTA vice city, minecraft, Spyro, H.A.W.X and games of that ilk it handles just fine, i even run a Playstation emulator through it, and thats enough to keep me occupied
