Chain break, now engine won't start

I am glad you have it running and it doesn't seem to be something expensive. It does seem like you have done some "preventative" maintenance as you have got this sorted.

Even if the battery optimiser said that all is good, I would seriously think of changing the battery in the near future.

Not sure when the air filter was changed so add that to your list.

I have an Optimate 4 charger/optimiser and it is very good. You can get a set of "tails" that permanently connect to the battery and you can just plug the optimiser into that making battery maintenance very easy. You can also plug in a aux socket which allows charging of phones, satnavs etc while riding the bike.

Charger, front brake pads, front tyre, air filter, then battery! All on my list for the next couple of months. Thanks again!
