As above really...

I started the bike this morning - normal cold start sequence: open choke, started fine - rode off and switched to second gear... The engine cuts out...

It then wouldnt start up or even crank over - all i got was an oil light when you push the start button...

i tried the usual of putting into neutral and other combinations but nothing...

It took 15 minutes then it started without hitch... WTF???

Check the rear of the ignition switch, if it's loose it cuts out at the most annoying of moments. Happened to me & after tightening the screws at the back of the switch no probs since.

Hi There, sounds like you could have a dicky kill switch,Check the wiring on your kill switch internally and externally and the contacts on the switch itself, also worth checking the sidestand switch and the ignition switch.

regards

Bill
