Just bought a parts bike that has 2k9 on frame and center housing was replaced so no numbers on engine case.

Bike appears to be an IT250, has dual coils and 2 spark plug holes.

Missing some parts and I wanted to know what I had before I started to order parts.

Also, did this bike have a title or are they like the YZs?

someone had a plate attached to back fender but I didn't think the ITs were streetable...

missing front rim-brakes-axle-brake lever, rear brakes and springs, rear brake arm and linkage. throttle cable wasted, in fact i think it is the wrong one because it would never fit onto the carb, clutch perch gone too...

What I ended up with was a decent frame with mono-shock and stock rear rim, motor with good compression, a wiring harness, front number/headlamp, gastank and seat. The tuner that is with bike doesn't quite line up with mounts on frame, if I set in place is about 1" lower, and has no baffle. Cost around 100 with gas so I couldn't pass it up...

If anyone has any information, or reasonable price on parts I am missing, feel free to add tot he thread...

thanks much...

I also aquired a 1981 Honda 750 and a Kawi 400 that I am parting out, perhaps some bartering...?

G,day. According to this site ( http://www.merrittmotorcyclesalvage.com/yamahamodelcodes.htm ) it is a 1978 it250e. But with this site ( http://www.cmsnl.com/faq.php?fq_catid=15 ) it would be a 1978 yz400e.

Hope this helps. Cheers Ferg
