  1. hey everyone! im new here. i have a 1977 LB80. just got it running after it sitting in the shed for 9 years! well its almost running... the float valve had sprung a leak and filled up with fuel. so, i actually got the fuel out of it, then buffed up the sides of the little brass float cans, and re-soldered it. and there is no more leaks! i made it cold in the fridge, then submerged it in hot water, no bubbles caused from the expansion of the the air inside the floats. i just need to find out what the float valve height is now. i did some un-necessary tweaking before i realized that it had taken on extra weight. if anyone knows where i can find this information, or if you already know, i would greatly appreciate it! oh also, i had someone tell me that ti should burn out all the carbon deposits in the expansion chamber for the exhaust. how would i go about doing this? i have no torch =(
