  3. After my YB100 was written off, I've had a courtesy YBR125 which was very nice indeed TYVM. Last week I decided to get a replacement bike and had the choice of this for a grand or this which wasn't 80 miles away and has only got 8 miles on the clock and still got 10 months warranty. I didn't fancy riding from Southend to Margate in this weather so I went for the custom (which I'll be picking up in the morning). I will probably still be asking my self if I did the right move in years to come. Ho Hum, next step is getting a wind-shield and hand guards. Ebay, bike store or stealers??
  4. Hi there! I finally made the plunge into getting into biking. It's something I've looked at since leaving home 10 yrs ago, but have only made it financially viable (and I thought up a good enough excuse). I am the VERY proud owner of a brand new YBR 125 Custom and within 48hrs introduced it (and myself) to the joyes of riding at 0600 on damp roads and 2300 in rain. LOVED IT!! Haven't quite built up the cahones skirt in and out of traffic, but there's plenty of time for that. Now I just need to make sure I don't pick up too many bad habits before I make the final descision to take my "big bike" test, it was inevitable.... Matt @;o)
  5. Hi There, I own a 58 reg Yamaha YBR125 - Custom, I baught it from a dealership 2 weeks ago. It is still under its 3 months Take back for repair warrantly but i am to far away to get it to the dealership and get it done. Im currently having a problem with the gearbox where i set off in first as i go up into second giving it a fair push as you have to it will click onto the neutral light and then off as if it was in second, About a second later it will slip itself back down into neutral and i end up giving the engine a fair reving off of it. Also the drop from 2nd to 1st gives out a rather large clunk sometimes, more than it usualy does. I was thinking that perhaps there is a problem with the 2nd gear cog or the gear selector? Any ideas and anyone else who has had that problem to explain it wuld be great help! Thanks Joe.
  6. Hi, hi. So now I've joined the biking community, albeit a little later in life than most as I'm 28, but thought it was about time I joined a forum. Got myself a new YBR Custom back in May, had really wanted an XVS 125 as my first bike, but they are like gold dust! Was with the Mg-Rover.org forums when I had my previous car and it was great a resource and place to chat about people with interests, so I look forward to sharing stories with all you helpful folk. Jon.
