  1. Hello chaps, we have the third annual D Day Rideout taking place on behalf of Aspire the Spinal Injuries Charity on the weekend of the 12th & 13th of June. We have a couple of Thundercats already booked up and it would be great to get more. This year, we'll be leaving by Eurotunnel on the Saturday morning around a 9am crossing and firstly heading to La Coupole, the V2 Rocket museum in the morning and having a look round at this historic site, before taking a back roads route over to Le Touquet and getting there late afternoon, where we will be spending the evening having dinner and a few drinks and socialising. We'll be heading back to the UK the next morning via Eurotunnel again - leaving around 11am. We have around 100 bikes (with pillions, around 160 people) so far booked up and it promises to be another great weekend, so we hope to see you all there. All are welcome from Big Trailies to Cruisers to Sportsbikes. Booking is via Aspire at: http://www.aspire.org.uk/bikers/
  2. Ladies & Gents, Knobblies on behalf of Spinal Research will be taking a rideout from Boxhill over to Sammy Miller's Museum on Saturday, 20th September. We'll be meeting up at 9.00am at Boxhill, have a coffee (or brekkie for those that want it) and then leaving at 10 am with an ETA of 12.00 at the museum. Cost is £15 for a single rider or £20 for rider + pillion. This will get you entry into the museum and also gives a donation to the charity. Lunch is being arranged at the museum - hopefully a barbecue (weather permitting), which people can pay for directly to museum staff. There is also a tearoom and various other facilities there. To sign up - please go to this page at the Spinal Research website: http://www.spinal-research.org/display_pag...vent&id=206 some links: http://museum.sammymiller.co.uk/ http://www.boxhill.co.uk/ Museum images:
  3. Hi guys, we're now up to approx 60-65 bikes, we heard this afternoon that we'll have a couple of classic Bonnevilles coming along and also possibly Phil Ames who used to be a bike racer in the 90's but was tragically injured, hopefully he can join us in his quad, see the link below for his details: http://www.spinal-research.org/display_pag...ence=Ambassador Next month's main bike magazines will be covering the event. i.e. TWO, BIKE, Trail Bike monthly and also MCN very soon. So we expect the 200 places to be booked quite quickly. Also one of the editorial team from TWO is coming plus a journalist from MCN and some others from the various mags will most likely be coming along. Hope to see some of you on Yam's... http://www.spinal-research.org/display_pag...ch=1&id=329
  4. I'm helping to organise a ride out to Le Touquet in France on behalf of Spinal Research on the 7th of June. It is a cross club / forum event and we have various clubs & forums taking part such as Gixxerjunkies (they have 18 riders coming), Londonbikers, Visordown, Suzuki owners Club, GS Club, etc. Spinal Research is a very worthwhile charity for bikers to be supporting and I hope that you'll be able to come along. It would be great to see a group of Yam riders coming along. Details on the rideout can be found on the spinal research site here: http://www.spinal-research.org/display_pag...ikes&id=329 We have three routes set out... And we have some great country roads to go down...!
