Hi Robin ( or robbing !) or rubbing ? This might be a long shot but have you tried your local Yamaha dealer ! I know this sounds odd but "sometimes" they can come up trumps. Eg, i wanted a top fairing for a 1000 exup (brother in laws) I must have spent the best part of 4 hours trying the internered -ebay/ breakers yards/etc, and i then phoned my local dealer the same day for a set of pads and asked them if they new of anyone else i could try. 1 minute later the top fairing in the correct colour (black with orange graphics) is placed infront of me. How much ????? £86. 00 to you sir //// MRP was £420 Most helpfull dealers will do the "leg" work for you, so if they havnt got it they may know a man who does. I really DO NOT reccomend trying to get panels etc from one model to go on another, leave this a a LAST option

Ive got a tdr 250 and iwas going to take it down the "supermoto " route. Its a 250 two stroke (tzr 250 motor) with a fairly good chassis if a little heavy. I took it out a couple of days ago because i have never done any green-laneing or offroad riding before. I have not had so much fun on a bike for ages, yes i fell off more than once, it felt after my little jaunt across Salisbury plain that i had broken both hips let alone the pains in my fat ass ! I am "hooked" and will be going to do the KTM off road school (the wife paid for it for my 40th birthday present )

I think the japaneses riders will feature , if not win outright. Super Shinya gets my vote ! Do not discount Suzuki for this season, i have a little "inside information" that they will be more than on the pace ! Paul Denning (ran Cresent bsb ) is now the man in charge, he will not settle for less than podiums

I take it you are riding or driving ?????. The bigest tip i can give is make sure you have TWO credit cards !. Also for touring get a gps, ive got a garmin streetpilot 2. Its fine on a bike because its waterproof, they used these on "the long way round ". Also take some self sealing tire slime, clean pants, and the number one item should be a little form that you get from the post office that entitles you to healthcare if the worst should happen ,PLUS a seperate travel insurance !. So far have booked Llandow (next to Cardiff) its a great place if you are a first timer---ie not complicated.and the surface is great , lots and lots of tracktime. Open pit lane all day for £99.00 THURSDAY Two group (virgin @ inter only) £68. FRIDAY Three group on £68 SATURDAY.. All with overnight camping which is free. The days are consecutive , but i doubt you would want to do all three coz you would get dizzy Please check out the www.cheaptrackdays.com site which goes live on the 22nd jan (it nearly finished , but im still learing!). Other circuits and dates will be CONFIRMED on the site. Mallory Cadwell; Snetteton The idea is a simple one, the days get released from the circuit owners , some times with only two weeks notice, making them cheaper to hire. Filling them should not really be a problem at the prices im charging ! . Im also in contact with Croft Goodwood. Pembrey. Anglesey The others ie Donnington, Oulton etc are not in my plans as they will never be cheap.. .Track time on the whole, has i feel now gone in the realms of expensive , ie Brands, £149 for 6x 15 minute sessions ! (if you are lucky). Far to many out on track in a group, etc. The days i run will have no frills ,ie no "official " photographer , no bullshit, no poweranger matching leather instructors !. Safety is my priority as i will not welcome riders who treat others with contempt. So a bit of research please !!! Your opinions on what you would like from a trackday . If you have never been out on a circuit , why not ???. Posy away!

I run the only company to offer open-pitlane/two/three group days. I specialise in smaller groups that cater mainly for first time or nervous riders. I ran one for the rd-z (alecs) rgv and nsr club and we had a cracking day. O yea and you can come and see Gavin kicking some serious ass on his tzr125 (strokerday) . We have days that are stricktly novice/intermediate only so if you always have had the erge but been a little give it a go, after all for £68 what have you got to loose (other than £68 i spose )
