    Fork cones

I managed to put them on, but they hold on to the fork with just one small bit of double sided tape, will not bother with a refund but will replace them shortly with something a bit more decent. cheers Joe

thanks mate I think they are the one, I wrote to Highway hawk and they promptly responded they said you need to glue them on, what a joke..... thanks for replying. Joe

    Fork cones

Hi long time no post has anyone fitted Highway Hawk fork cones on the 650 Classic, I can't seem to make them fit ??? thanks Joe
  4. Did not cross my mind to clean with WD40 will try that, so far I have only touched them with a dry cloth nothing else but some friends told me to use wire wool which sounded wrong to me ( thanks god) we don't really have road Salt issues here in Malta, nor do I ride in wet weather ( just to keep the bike clean) again it does not rain as much here, but still the spokes get so dirty and they still loose the plated surface as I have seen on other bikes. Will give it a shot with WD40 this evening. cheers Joe
  5. Anyone has some good advise on cleaning spokes without too much hassle I can't seem to get them shinning and they do get so dirty.... cheers Joe
  6. Bobbitch thanks, regret they don't ship outside the UK, in fact when I needed the saddle bags I had to go via third parties.
  7. Anyone can advise on good on-line shops that sell original Star Yamaha chrome accessories for the 650 classic. I always tend to get from the US but now with the Dollar Vs Euro and with the UK Vat going to 15% I think I will have to reconsider 
  8. In my case if I could change the fuel tank and mudguards to chrome I would, albeit I don't like the cleaning bit cheers
  9. I was about to say the same thing why would one want carbon fibre on a cruiser, thought that the more chrome the merrier hehe
  10. thanks saw it read it but too complicated for me, I guess my mechanic who charged through my nose will have to sort out, albeit i did increase the idle rev a bit and it feels much better.
  11. you can get pull back risers for any size in fact I need a 1inch riser and 1inch pullback eventually, suggest you measure cables etc before you decide in case you don't get enough pullback. There are also various sized bars but I still think you would need risers. Joe
  12. i did some good riding over the weekend, they are bloody loud, ye did find the baffles, I am not touching unless someone tells me how to put in something better to quiet them down, according to my OH I have f....up the bike hehe Performace wise I am not happy either after rejetting and putting on the HC the bike seems faster on acceleration but have to shift more frequent, doesn't feel like a cruiser anymore......and yes the vibration is another killer although now at least I am not feeling the terrible vibration on reaching 100k ( kilometers) now it is vibrating all along heheh Cheers
  13. Ok silly question coming up how can I tell if my brand new V&H cruzers have baffles or not ? they are bloody loud...
