  1. nope, sorry sir. a quick google.com search would tell you! how do the british view the whole Iraq thing? just curious... dont bite my american head off....
  2. well said! politics suck! i love the senators who leaked info to the media about our intelligence on Al Qaeda, if you or i had said anything like that, we would be in serious trouble and most assuredly lose our jobs at the least, but whats this... they are still on the commitees they leaked info from! Wo betide the man who didnt have friends in high places who did such a thing.... grrrrr.... on another note, i only have like 2 weeks till im done in alaska and 10 days after that i get to pick up my bike! yeah! politicians
  3. okay, so i work in alaska at a mine. Greenpeace's ship is coming to SE alaska (actually they are delayed in ketchican for not having proper permits and a slewfull of other things by the coast guard yay coasties!) so they are coming to the island i work on to protest (probably for the forest, but they threaten to protest our mine). now i am curious, green peace says logging, oil, mining, living, etc. is bad, yeeettttt, they sail a ship up from los angeles (and they go all over the world) that probably runs off of... oil, yes oil! so they burn a couple hundred thousand if not a million gallons of oil per year probably in their protests... they print pamphlets on... paper... from trees... wtf? they use paint to graphiti crap on ships and everything else... where does that come from? chemicals (a lot from oil and mining). they probably drive SUV's to work every day, and they are protesting against all the things they use? wtf? they use more oil and other things than i ever will! they have their own damn helicopters! helicopters sure as hell arent powered by "green energy", so what gives you F$%^in hypocrites? they are nothing more than terrorists who use a theoretically good cause for their own purposes! they say that Bush is masking globabl warming! hello, has anyone noticed that global warming has been going on since a few thousand years ago when the ice began to melt from our last ice age? anybody else see the trend of cyclical ice-ages and global warming? has anyone noticed that there was a hole in the ozone already (we never found evidence for a lack of a hole in the ozone btw)? anybody see that with a volcanic eruption like Krakatoa, or even Mt. St. Helens, more CO2 is released than all humans release in a great number of years (sorry i forgot the exact number) if anyone else has comments please share, both for and against my point! Scott
  4. if too much bandwidth has been used in an hour, it closes my page down for an hour. stupid free websites! so whenever they arent available, too many people have looked at em, or other pics on my site
  5. see thats one reason its nice to live here in the US... no gun control laws, people usually dont mess with things that have stickers like "insured by smith and wesson" it really does help discourage thieves to show them a large caliber weapon pointing at their vitals.... cheers
  6. blast! can someone tell me how to shrink my avatar? i am using some damned mac OS X and i have no idea how to use it (specially since the network admin wont let us use any photo editing software, so i cant use an image on the hardisk that i resized.) blast!
  7. thanks, i did a lot of research! my first bike was 1983 honda nighthawk cb450sc. it was fun, but a vertical twin, just doesnt do the trick for me! although it got 63 miles per gallon! that was nice. and insurance was only 9 dollars/month as opposed to 23! but even 23 aint bad! well thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
  8. Cool thanks. yeah it has been a fun truck. god knows i prolly wont ever get rid of it! too much time, blood, and money invested! i always laugh when i beat newer more expensive trucks and cars... specially when they put money into making em faster (like 40,000 including the cost of the truck) and mine is up to about 5000 total invested including purchase price. that and the fact that i can haul and tow more is a wonderful thing. very few new trucks could tow a 6 ton trailer! what type of yammy do you ride?
  9. hey everyone thanks for the replys. nice to find a group of people with similar interests. i see yama head is on my side of the pond. are you really in portland? i bought my bike in Salem, OR! yeah they are quite rare in the states. ive only seen 2 T-cats the whole time i've been lookin! sad. heh heh, yeah colour looks like it would sound different, but i guess you guys pronounce it the same. it just looks like Ko-loor is how to pronounce it. and how is tonnes pronounced? same way as our tons? im just curious, not overly ignorant.
  10. hey everyone, i am new here, just bought a 1997 yamaha yzf-600r thundercat. i am a Yank as it were, and since there isnt a big following of the thundercat across the pond, i figured i'd try here. if anyone has any info on how to make the thundercat better, stronger and faster, i'd love to hear it. got pics of it as it was when i bought it (soon it will be all blue) at www.geocities.com/will_sati/bike thanks for any input! sorry if my english is a little different!
