  1. Thanks for the advice. I'll double check everything else thoroughly to eliminate any probs. But I'll bear your parts in mind.
  2. I'm in a dilemma and could do with some opinions... My Dragstar was running perfectly but then the electric start failed and just clicked. Once this happened the bike could be bump started so I continued to use it. After a week the bike now completely refuses to start. I've changed the plugs, checked the battery (with ignition on, all electrical features work normally), and checked the voltage regulator. If I try to bumpstart now, the bike turns maybe once or twice and then dies again. The electronic start still produces just a click and nothing more. I am led to believe that this is my starter solenoid that has gone but I would like some confirmation if possible?! Any help would be very much appreciated. Matt
  3. It did disengage before i replaced the cable but i've checked the obvious physical problems. I'll try adjusting the arm from within the clutch. Cheers for yuor help all
  4. Could somebody please aid me in my quest to sort my bike out. I'm no mechanic but understand the principles involved. I have a Yamaha XVS 125 and the clutch cable recently frayed so i replaced it. However, after tightening the cable and adjusting the free play the clutch still wouldn't disengage. Even physically pushing across the lever (the one which sits atop the clutch assembly) as far as it goes will not disengage the clutch which leads me to believe that it may well be something inside. Could anyone please give me a little insight into what the problem may be and what possible remedies i could implement. Thankyou
