    r1 clutch pull

Hi all, i know ive read it on here before but ive looked for half an hour and cant find it, soooooo... someone said that u can change the clutch arm (under clutch cover) for a longer item from another yam to make the clutch pull easyer!! i think it was a viagro or sumthing but i cant remember!! Thanks sam
  3. HELP ME, they brought back the whisper, ive had about 7 in the last 3 days, im addicted HELP!!
  4. HA HA That did make me chuckle, nice one drepey!
  5. So does that mean that i just concentrate onthe one nipple untill ther are no bubbles and then move onto the second? well im waiting for my rear disc because of the damn postal strike, so ill give it a go when i get it! Thanks Sam
  6. Hi all, hoping someone could shed some light on the rear caliper of my r1, because it has two bleed nipples? is there an order on which to bleed first? i can happily bleed the front brakes with no problems ive just never bled anything with two nipples? And if anyones got an opinion on what type of pad works best on the rear, ie; std yamaha or uprated hh? Anyway thanks again y'all and ride safe!
  7. I had a 03 r6 that was restricted, i took it to a friend in a garage, it took him maybey half an hour to get the big washers out and 5 minutes to get the throttle stop off by from what i remember by bending it off! no damag to anything, and wow what a difference!
  8. i got white on mine blue 01 r1. looks cool! tried gold b4 that, looked okish but a little bit gay! make sure you get the tape thats in shorter strips rather than a roll, MUCH easyer to fit! Sam
  9. Cool if i get time i will try this weekend, but its me anniversary on sat so will get back to you and let you know!# Ta Sam
  10. Nah, i know the forks are good coz i bought them to rebuild the crashed bike, the original fork and yoke set up was fu**ked, cracked bottom yoke, clean snap down the middle of the top yoke, one bent fork with a broken caliper mount, and the top nut on the other fork was copletely ground away! The forks i wana fit were bought from partfinder from a low millage bike! but do you know if the 5jj wheel will fit the later forks? thanks Sam
  11. Hi all, i posted this in the sportbike section but got no replies, hopefully sum1 can help me in here! Does a 2001 front wheel from an r1 fit on the slightly later 02 model? Because im putting forks from the later bike on my road 2001 model but the wheel off my later model is bent as a boomerang! Any help would be great!! ta sam

    Steering dampers

Hi i got a 5jj R1 aswell so i know they need it, but the thing is i was on a tight budget so i found that a LSL damper + fitting kit only cost me about £130 instead of the £250-£300+ of the normal across the tank types! Ok to be fair its not a billion times ajustable like sum but i think its definatley a good idea as a starter kit to get used to the feeling of having a damper, i mean the first time i did 100mph+ with the damper wound up, it was like the bike was on rails!! GET ONE!
  14. DAMN IT, I wanna see but my work computer wont play da vids on youtube!
  15. Hi, i have used the bt014 on my old r6, r1 and my current r1 and think there are great! i was woundering about the bt015 myself if anyone has used them on a litre sports bike , id love to know what you think!
