  1. I'M HERE! Sorry thought you were looking for an old FART. Bob
  2. The screen is the MRA touring screen and realy works great, have tried the yamaha tall screen and a double bubble but this one is leaps ahead of the others. the grips were swapped from my old 900 by the shop but I just fitted renthall bars so the had to come off and on and I had no problems. The hand guards I fitted to my old 900 and the job took less than an hour (had the groves machined in bar ends by a friend) and were cheep to, they are standard on Suzuki DL650 and come with fittng kit for £24. Bob
  3. Yeh, read your comic this week but again no mention of the TDM900 wich is still a great all-rounder with 130mph performance, R1 brakes or 60mpg when commuting and some nice new colour schemes this year. Bob - on his 2nd tdm
  4. If adventure riding is your thing you should check out the following website and click on the e-zine link for people currently traveling. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ More people have been around the world on a honda plac than any other machine (they are easier to pull out of ditches ect than a big GS type bike) but the availabillity and cost of 2-stroke oil could cause problems, personally a 4-stroke would be better. Ideal would be a serrow 225 single trailie. Bob
  5. I just found a photo of my old RD400E and a rush of happy memories came flooding back to me. I had bought it second hand and it did not have a decent bearing in the whole chassis but the engine was a peach and had been "Becket Tuned" and would lift the front wheel with a glance at the throttle. Bob
  6. Hi Alan, if you are asking about the bike it is a Yamaha TDM900 which is a twin cylinder 900cc with five valve heads. They are good for around 130mph or 60mpg depending how you ride. If you are asking about the exhaust system it is the standard 2 into 2 which comes on this model. Bob
  7. Thanks kev, I am doing fine. was up your way just after easter with wifey but in the car not on bike. fantastic scenery and riding roads. Bob
  8. Thanks, I found this site by google but am already on www.carpe-tdm.net which is especially for the tdm and a very good site with lots of active people. It is mainly UK based but we have members from all over the wrld. Bob
  9. Just wondering if I smell or have said something wrong? I joined this group and introduced myself and not even a reply. Bob - thinking of changing user name to "billy no mates"
  10. The following link will take you to a thread on another TDM group about a recall for the tdm900 (something to do with throttle sensors) http://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?showtopic=2135 Bob
  11. Bridgstone BT45's I have had them on several older machines, they grip well wet or dry and last quite well too. Bob
