  1. Can I change mine? Same answer as before but I got to go with alantasmittie84 with texting not only are their minds elsewhere so are there eyes.
  2. Thanks rescue76 took my last pills last night so Im back to posting but on one site at a time. I was bad and take that all that credit can't blame meds for everything. I have to own up to my stupidity.
  3. To tell you the truth I have no idea anymore.I have heard that the ones sold in england are adjusted first at 12,000 miles per the manufacture. In Aust its 20,000 km or 12,000 miles I have no idea why here the first one is at 600 miles.I have already done mine and most likely would do it again if I bought a new one. My bike was in specs on the 600 mile service but doing it yourself does not cost anything. Just the having the piece of mind is worth it to me. I started doing my own when I had a Kaw Concourse and after getting the first 2 services done someone told me the dealer does not even check them where he worked at unless they had a problem or over 8,000 miles. So I started doing it myself so I know its done and all it cost me is a few hours time. I have always gone by factory specs and would never advise anyone any different so even in this situation to me its better safe than sorry. Jerry
  4. Sorry the last message was to be posted on a different board. Kind of new to computers and had surgery last week so I can not get around. Wish I could blam it on the drugs. Just glad I have not posted the georgia peach one by mistake now that one was something that could not be explained. Im going to shut up at least until the drugs are all gone.
  5. Car drivers the really scary ones talk on cell phones cause it is way more important what they have to say and where they go than it is for your right to live. Sorry bad day true but a very bad day.
  6. The boy who cried wolf and laughed when they showed up to help him.
  7. YEA you got me I treated you like a person and you burned me now thats real funny.
  8. No like I said Im bad it is indead a kawasaki parts manufactured in Japan assembled in Omaha. Pre 2004 other than that I cant tell you theres about 20 years in their they did not change anything. Sorry again Jerry
  9. Sorry you have a hugh pic that says Kawasaki on it. Thought you are the joker. Give me a break.
  10. I was lucky and bought the touring model for the same price I would of paid for the base model. I love it and having the same key to start the bike for the bags are great. I know while looking around a couple of dealers had put together thier own touring packages because it was cheaper for them. If you have a dealer in your area like that he might be able to swing you a deal. If anyone knows of a nice tail trunk that matches the stock bags thats what I have been shopping for. Thanks and good luck. Jerry
  11. I'm going to make your day. You and you alone are going to have this one time chance of a lifetime. Many many people have dreamed of it some have tried it. So many have impersonated it. But you my friend just because I like you will have this deal of a lifetime. You can now be the second owner of the all famous Brooklyn Bridge but you must contact me quickly as I said this is a one time offer.
  12. I dont know if this will work or not but a old fart told me he uses a white oven cleaner on the area of the leak. After a short ride he can see where the leak is starting from. Sounded good to me anyway. Jerry
  13. Hi from the states Jerry
  14. Sounds good Im still deceiding on my next adjustment how far I want to tear it down. I think that it will make it till the snow hits so I can take my time. The hex wrench idea sounds good though Im going to do that. Im kind of the extra wood guy myself just 4 2x6 screwed them ontop of each other about 8 inches long. I them put two scrap pieces on top where thiers enough room to trap mty kickstand in the middle. Works great for oil changes and checking the level. No need to get anyones help or worry about dropping her. It works well for me anyway. Jerry
