  1. Yes, the Fazer 600 is deffinitely NOT underpowered.........it uses the same engine as the R6 and the Fazer can still nail 0-60 in less than 4 second!!! Doesn't sound slow to me. 8)
  2. Not too sure if this side exhaust is going to be any good for road bike.........just think of the poor pillion who's going to to inhale all the fumes!
  3. Oh, never mind! Nice to see it again on here anyways! Do you think the new exhaust will melt Rossi's right boot?
  4. Anyone seen the new M1 side exhaust on Rossi's Bike?
  5. Yes, I think Rossi was doing Go-Karting at an early age but couldn't afford to go pro so he did Mini Moto instead, then 125cc, 250cc, 500cc and now MotoGP and 5 time world champion! He's the man! Think I've read that he likes rally driving aswell so he might end up doing WRC one day!? :?
  6. TBH, I really can't see him going to F1, maybe WRC just top pass his time. Or maybe he'll just spend a few more years at MotoGP and start his own team?
  7. Do you think Rossi will retire after next year? He'll only be 26!!! That's too young for retirement. I think he'll stick to MotoGP for a few more years and then go to WSB? I think he likes Rally driving as well......you think he might havea go at that?
  8. It's deffo. an R6 for me, which I'll probably end up getting some time next year, but I wouldn't say no to the 2005 ZX-6R either. Also the GSXR600 K4 is a wicked bike too, it's cheaper to buy than the other Jap 600s and is slightly cheaper insurance group aswell (insurance group 14 instead of 15).........but then again as nice as the bike is, I'll feel a bit funny riding a Suzuki! Don't know why? :? Think their build quality isn't as good as Yam, Honda or Kawa......it that true? :?
  9. 107BHP is at the wheel for the 2005 ZX-6R. Think the R6 pumps out about 105BHP at the wheel.
  10. Well done to Rossi for knocking up another win for Yamaha in Portugal. Also, did you see Marco Melandri's "Spiderman Leathers" and bike paint work? PRetty cool it was but shame he crashed out and wrecked it! :? Unlucky mate.
  11. The 2005 ZX-6R has a slipper clutch as standard, MotoGP-style fuel injection, wavy brake discs and a high-revving 107bhp engine (probably with titanium bits) aswell as underseat exhaust for centralisation.

    FZ6 or Fazer

I'm hoping that when I come to buy next easter/summer 2005, I would be able to pick up a nice 1 or 2 year old R6 for alot cheaper than the brand new price. Can't wait. 8)
  13. I was just wonder, why do some people insist on modding there bikes (especially sports bikes)? It's not that they're not fast enough already! A stock 600 sports bike will do 0-60 in 3.5 sec! Isn't that good enough perfomance already? :?
  14. Which bike do you like? :? The R6 is still the bike I want cos' it's a Yamaha , but the 2005 Ninja just looks so amazing! 8) In terms of technology wise, the Ninja beats the current R6 hands down........but we'll have to see what the 2005 R6 has to offer.

    FZ6 or Fazer

Thanks for the advise on the R6, I think I'm just going to go for it. If I get the FZ6 Fazer first, which is still a good bike, I would be the dog's dangles for the first month or two and then after that as time goes by, I would have wished I got the R6.........so I think I'm going to go straight for the R6. YZF-R6 = £5599 Fazer6 = £4599 Might as well pay the Grand extra to get the bike I really want, that way I would respect the bike more if it's the bike I really want. I might just even get a second hand 2003 R6. Have to see.

    The new forum....

So is the Live2Ride forum going to take over this one or is it a seperate thing?

    FZ6 or Fazer

@PPsR6: also mate, just wondering how much is your insurance for your R6? I have a quote for a 2003/2004 R6, I'm 25 and keep the bike in Garage etc, of £712 TPF&F which is te cheapest I can find. The Fazer should be a little bit cheaper than that, probably around £500!? :?

    FZ6 or Fazer

I know what you mean PPsR6, I just want to keep my options open for the time being mate. I'll see what happens. But Fazers still good bike though.

    FZ6 or Fazer

Also, If I bought a new FZ6 Fazer from a dealer, do you think they can get me the BLACK wheel from a naked FZ6 instead of the silver one from the Fazer? 8) I really love bikes with black colours wheels!

    FZ6 or Fazer

Yes, the FZ6 Fazer does look good and I'm really temped to get one as a first bike before I go for the R6. And at a price of £4499.....that brilliant!! By the time I can afford to get one next year, I can go for a 2004 second hand model which will be even cheaper! I'll see what happens. This is getting exciting! 8)

    FZ6 or Fazer

The more I look at the FZ6 Fazer the more I like it! It might be one of those bike where you never thought about getting but might just actually end up getting one! I particularly like the underseat exhausts and the clock dials! Also, they are still very good performance bikes. If I am to get one, I'll probably go for the Galaxy Blue coloured one!

    FZ6 or Fazer

I think I prefer the 2004 FZ6 Fazer with underseat exhaust and the R1 like front. But the old ones still look good. 8) I still haven't decided if I'm going to get it. I'm going to the motorcycle show in November in NEC Birmingham, so I'll have a sit on the bikes and decide then.

    FZ6 or Fazer

Yes, the Fazer is the more practical choice, cos the fairing would help when I do those long journeys down the motorway, but I think the FZ6 looks a bit better.........the Fazer looks a bit funny tbh......half naked half fairing hmmmm?? IMO, it got to be full fairing our none.......but the Fazer does seem to be the logical choice........you see my dilemma here! Regard, the R6, that has to be a must for me, it's just a matter of sooner or later.

    FZ6 or Fazer

Hi Guys, I've been looking at these 2 bikes as a possible first bike when I pass my DAS......you think it's a good sensible choice as a first bike? Anyway, I was thinking maybe I could ride one of these for a year or so and then trade it in for an R6. I need some help in deciding whether the naked FZ6 is better or the Fazer 600? They both look cool in it's own way but I just can't decide which one I should consider? :? Which one whould you go for?
