  1. Hi all I got a question about slip on mufflers, the bike is a xmax 2012 125 would I have to change rollers air/fuel mix or jets if I put a slip on muffler on or do you only do that for a full exhaust system change, not wanting to make the bike faster just like the look of some of the mufflers you can get, any thoughts Thanks all Chris
  2. Update on my xmax, it rides very well and stable, good on fuel and will go over 70mph which is quite good for a 125 scooter, it's quite heavy at 175kg but you don't notice it riding it at all, plenty of storage as well and 12v socket for phone etc, very comfy to, anyone looking for a 125 scooter I'd recommend this one, plenty space on it too as I'm 6 foot and it's not cramped at all, the only niggle is the noise from the screen above 45mph so will be changing or taking it off but very small niggle though cheers all Chris
  3. The bike finally showed up on Thursday and it's a great bike it's a shame I can't ride it at the mo as my back has give up for a mo, can't wait to run it properly as its a nice size and very stable, hard to believe it's only a 125, will add a pic or 2 in a couple days
  4. Yamaha xmax 125, he has promised it will be here on Wednesday and arranged it with the garage i bought it from so fingers crossed this time, tried a couple sites like that and had two couriers arguing lol, both wanting to charge £300+
  5. Well the bike courier has let me down for the second time in a week and blaming the garage where it's from even though he has clear instructions regarding the bike, just spinning a load of bull about other jobs, Wednesday now he says, I had a few choice words as u can imagine, the garage is trying to alternative courier at reasonable rate as the bike is in South Yorkshire and I'm southwest Cornwall, real pain in the ass,
  6. U did buddy in question I had about the Xmax, thought I'd introduce myself as well
  7. Hi to all I'm Chris, I decided to join this forum as it seems useful as I'm waiting on delivery of a black 2012 Yamaha Xmax 125, makes this the ideal forum to join, upgrading bike from Peugeot metal x 100cc, the main reason I use scooters is I have osteoarthritis in my back, hands and knees etc and find a scooter much easier and comfy compared to a geared bike, hence buying the Xmax as it gives me plenty of room compared to a normal scooter, I live in Cornwall which is a lovely place to live, Everyone ride safe and hope to speak other members soon, Thanks all, Chris
  8. Hi buddy I live in Cornwall but a life long toon fan as my grandad was from there, still waiting for bike as courier said he can't bring it til Saturday, getting itchy feet waiting lol
  9. Bike will be here on Tuesday can't wait
  10. Hi thanks for the reply, the service history is good and Yamaha is generally reliable but would be nice to hear from someone that's owned 1, the read ups I've seen seems good bike in all, Thanks again, Chris
  11. First of all is like to say hi to everyone as this is my first post, in looking for advice if possible about a used xmax 125 2012, it's done 20000 miles so quite high but says it's had clutch, belt, rollers etc done, I was wondering if anyone else could tell me about the reliability of the xmax as 20000 seems quite high on a 125. any thoughts welcome, price is £1500 thanks all, Chris
