  1. Hi guys, after working on my DT50 MX for a while I have discovered that the paint overall isn't in the condition I thought it to be. It was originally black by the looks of it but has had many coats of red applied by brush rather crudely and unprofessionally. Therefore I have decided to strip my bike down to the frame and respray it. This doesn't seem too hard, although I have never tried this before and was wondering if it could be done within a week? I hope in this time I can clean the bike up and make it look good as the day it came out the factory! Any tips on doing this? Regards George Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Hi all, I'm looking to upjet my 1987 DT50 MX which I believe is running a stock TK carb, as I have a full Giannelli exhaust system coming, a 60cc kit installed as well as a performance air filter. Was wondering where I could find any main jets for sale as I can't seem to find any online, or would any old jet be a universal fit? I believe I need a #98 but a set of varied sizes would be useful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Thanks guys! It's in good nick for a 30 year old bike, and I plan on a full restoration in about a year or so when I'm 17 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hi guys, thought I'd say hi and ask a few questions about my bike. As I have recently turned 16, I have just bought a 1987 DT50MX for my first bike. It came with a big bore 60cc kit, performance air filter, derestricted exhaust (soon to be replaced with full giannelli system) and I believe the previous owner installed new jets in the carb but I'm not too sure. I plan to add a smaller rear sprocket and perhaps an airsal 70cc kit in future depending on how much spare time I have. A frame respray is also something I'm considering as it seems to have had a couple of dodgy touch ups in the past and there is some surface rust scattered around. I also have a new exhaust cover panel arriving soon as the current one has been cut through and leaves the pipe exposed. I am aiming to hit 60 mph (on private land of course ), any recommendations on parts/modifications to install? I'm fairly light at 50 ish kg and I believe a sprocket set should get me there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
