  2. yep a mate of mine suggested to get the crank puller and the case splitter or i would end up with a bent crankshaft...good advice as the thing came apart easily and went together like a dream !!
  3. thanks guys...this one will definitely be ridden and enjoyed !!....i will post when she is finished, maybe with a short vid of her going
  4. this is my latest project..the bike that got me into motorcycling 35 years ago .....i just have to complete the front end now and i will be riding her to work again just like the days when ii was an apprentice. The dealer sticker was a great score...i also have my late bro in-law 1980 zuki a100 and had the sticker on it ...i was able to peel it off and get it reproduced as this bike came from the same dealer. i think it adds to the look
  5. yeah i should have the motor finished this weekend, then its respoke the wheels..front end forks have to be re-hard chromed then hopefully its all finished by????????

  10. all cool.... i didn't have the legs spread in the proper way ...and we all know how important that is
  11. iam thinking ive put the return spring on the gearshift shaft on upside down ....there is a straight leg and a bent leg of the spring. Does anyone know if the bent leg should face the bottom when fitted??? thanks in advance
  12. some parts off the rx 100 fit... the seat in particular...the front end is off a 1977 rd 125, the rear wheel is also rd 125 the engine is a different story though
  13. i was looking for original fasteners ( the ones you can see on the handlebars etc) for my 1980 rx 125 and lo and behold my local yamaha dealer was able to get them from the factory.
