  1. I went to the Docs today and he asked me if I smoked. I told him - no thanks, I'd already had one before coming to see him. He also asked me if I had difficulty in passing water. I told him that I had felt dizzy spell once driving over london bridge.

  4. Are you sure you haven't had a spliff Those buggers landed not far from me - Leatherhead but due our atmosphere they didn't get very far. I can now say that it was due to my ancestors that stopped them in their tracks reaching london due to bad flatulence! No doubt someone is going to say I'm talking shit............................got there before you
  5. It might be a hairy alien from the darkside of the moon
  6. Spot on Kev If it's what I think you are tallking about..........................these things moving about are really high up in the night sky and are darting about all over the place but in their own area.
  7. You piss taking bastards ROFL! Anyyyyyyyyyyywayyyyyyyyyyyy........................Sometime back I was doing a boot sale (Ok, I had too many of them). It was a nice clear day and I HADN'T been on the piss. I happened to look up to the sky and couldn't beieve what I was seeing. Hard to work out high up this thing was but I reckon it to be between 500 to 1000ft. Completely still there was a silver sphere rather like a highly polished ball bearing. I watched this 'thing' for about a minuite until I heard a helicopter coming closer. With that this 'thing' shot straight upwards at an amazing speed leaving behind it a vapour trail.
  8. Anyone had any personal experience of the two? Well, I mean one or the other, not both together at the same time PMSL! 'I was taken aboard a UFO by Ghosties' Now that WOULD be hard to believe. Would love to read your 'true' stories because I find both subjects facinating. I'll write mine soon

  15. PMSL @Toutsuite I suppose I should have said that my cooking stuff was/is experimental and long may it continue until the wife/kids/grand kids all end up in hospistal with food poisening. Although I've tried to kill the missus off quite a few times Beer Brewing. Not much sucsess at that. I could have made a few quid selling the result to chips shops!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. In short ( I have posted regarding this bike XJ 600 before - somewhere on the forum ) Anyway, before shelling out for a new ECU/EMU, would it be possible to 'hot wire' the bike as I've got no spark? Of course, if I can get a spark then I'll be confident in buying a new ECU/EMU. The original ECU was left (as was the Carbs etc in a box that filled up with water!!!) from the bloke that I bought it off I must add looooooollllllllllll. I'm beginning to think that this bike might cost me more than I paid for it £100 - having found out recently that there's a big hole on the swinging arm - exhaust side (Is this a common fault?) but I'm quite handy with an arc welder so that don't bother me.
  20. Thanks for the replies Stripping the carbs down was quite an experience being that the previous owner had store them outside in a box that was half filled with water! And most of the electronics! Well, pulling the carbs away from each other there was one of those 'false widow spiders' the size of a tarantula!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Needless to say it got a well aimed hammer. I did get funny looks from people walking by as I was hoovering out a birds next in the air in-take - the bird had long since gone - and also those bleedin' false widow spiders that were all over the place. One good thing is that the wiring loom has been modified so no more glass fuse's (dampness). Hopefully, once I get it going, it'll be time to work on the brakes - I think you need them LOL.
  21. As you can see I'm a newby but I thought I'd put my first real post in here. Here goes...................I bought an XJ 600 as a project for this summer - when ever that arrives :(. Of course a non-runner but I'm determined to get it going again. The bike had been standing for 4 years and the carbs had been removed within that time as with most of the other bits and pieces. Not surprising, the bike was seized. I say 'was' because it's now unsiezed after dropping tons of oil etc down the bores. As the carbs were off I spent a few days in September ( The indian summer we had) taking those to bits and giving them a good clean inside and out! So they are ready to go on once it's warmer. To be continued.........................................
  22. More oil on the floor than in the engine - me too had a fanny B 200 and a Suzuki GT250 engine that I intended to make a go-cart out of. Actually I can't remember what happened to that engine as I never did get around to making the go-cart. Used to work as a M/C messenger in and around London and bought a crashed Yammy 200 from the firm. After rebuilding it I was told that the poor bloke that road it had died during the accident but I'm sure, even before that, the blooding thing was haunted! Had a tendency to pull to the right into on-coming traffic. Some might say that I didn't rebuild it properly - come to think of it - I didn't check the frame at the time.........................DOH!
  23. Thanks guys for the warm welcome . Lol at Moderator. Garrelli Tiger Cross - I had a Garrelli Record a few years back. A few BSA Bantams - BSA C15 etc.
  24. Obviously new to the Forum - mainly for help - if I'm honest. I've recently bought an XJ 600 (pre-diversion) as a non runner. It had been standing for 4 years and looked as though it needed a bit of loving and care to get it back on the road again. The poor thing :(. It's my project for the Summer. However, I'm offering (free of charge - you pay the postage or pick up personally) the rear pannier brackets (both sides) off this bike. Please email me - if allowed - and I'll send you a few photo's of condition etc.
