  1. 2006 WK 5.7L Hemi, chipped SRT8 mainfolds, sway bars, upgraded brakes, bilstien shocks cold air some other bits and bobs, looks bone stock, and i took the 5.7L badge of the back and put a 3.7L one on, still surprises me how many numpties fall for it. lts good for towing on this stuff Those pictures where taken towing the Kawas through the lcefields Parkway from Banff to Jasper in Alberta Canada. Had a mate over form back home in the UK, not like this in Sussex apparently
  2. Thanks All , i couldn't wait until Thursday, i picked it up today 2100km round trip, not that im dedicated or anything lt had some odd company on its way home, my little trailer has brought home many treasures. Will start the investigative surgery shortly...........................in other words, it will on the deck tomorrow, under the cover of darkness., will be carefully stripped, cleaned and reassembled in the house, as is fitting for such a wonderful thing. Motor reminds me of a Fizzy, oh i miss my Fizzy. This is what happened the last time i went on a 2000 +km trip, i had to make it a worthwhile trip, well what do you expect from ''anyoldiron''
  3. Thanks Mago, what a great source of info!
  4. So, there was a estate auction down the road this weekend, there was a hit and miss engine that i was after, didnt care what type, ive just fancied one for a while. Well i learned a lesson, i need to be chaperoned at auctions, as i ended up with 6. The where also a few bikes there nothing really up my strasse until i spied this, i belive its a 1967 Yamaha YG1, please chime in those in the know, i would like to know if its original paint. Well i had pot a proxy bid online, but after yesterday i was i bit gun-shy,the War Dept was watching and noticed i had stopped bidding so she jumped in and brought it as a gift for my birthday, bless. For about 400 quid all in how could one go wrong. lt will get stripped, cleaned, oiled and the bare minimum of new parts to get it running right. Will pick it up Thurs on me birthday whoohoo
  5. Well, the Peeps at Yamahahahahahahahaha have made some interesting things for us to play in the snow with. These sleds where made between 1992 and 1997, the black one i 750 and the red one is a 800. they are 4 cylinder 2 strokes(and no they do not share a single common part with TZs} They are about 160hp- and 170hp...............................and do about 7mpg when you are on the la la button. They are mildly ported, boyesen reeds , dial a jets and of course pipes. They are biblically fast.
  6. Yessir, original paint, all i did was completely strip clean lube and assemble.
  7. Thanks for the welcome. The IT490, well i think that comes under the ''never meet your heroes'' banner. l did a bunch to it, head work, dial a jet 98 ish oct fuel and it still wasnt as right as it should be, recalcitrant PITFA, the 465 is a way better motor IMHO.......................what would be nice would be a IT465 bottom end YZ465 top end in a IT490 roller. l got this one in boxes in baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad shape. This is how the one owner CS3 ended up, not a drop of new paint.
  8. i came across your blinding site looking for pictures of a RD125DX like my best mate had back in the day. lm a bit of a fan of the Yamaha to say the least, i have a few. The little IT is what i had on the road at 17, the R1 is for my inner 12 year old..........................and probably the eventual demise of my driving licence The big IT has had a few mods, head etc, so it works, got some others but cannot upload any more pics Picked up the CS3 for about 300 quid, it is now immaculate 2400 miles. Cheers AOI
