Hi i have recently aquired a 2002 tdm900 and have found that it will not idle,has anyone had a similar problem,would it be the fast idler plunger stuck or am i looking in the wrong area,please bear in mind the bike has been standing outside covered for two years. If it is the idle plunger is it a difficult job ?. Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi i would just like to say hi to all members and introduce myself as a born again biker having just purchased a 2002 tdm 900 as a bit of a project,my background is mechanical having worked as a fitter in the construction and railway industries,i hope to be able to ask questions and you never know maybe even answer a few. Hi i am new to this so please bear with me,i am purchasing a 2002 yamaha tdm 900 which has been standing for 2 years the mileage is 32000,it did run initially and then stopped and would not run again even the starter would not turn over,i would be grateful for any hints and ideas you may have to lead me in the right direction,many thanks.
