  3. Part of the battery I took out had falling and got caught in the chain lol. Well wedged in to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It's strange cause I had wheeled it out of the garage yesterday, I'll go over it again here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, neutral and first gear, even tried second. Just seems stuck, checked breaks and chain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Ok put the new battery in my brothers 125 virago and then started her to roll her out of the garage but the fucking thing not go back at all, brakes week fine. Really confused?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks Slice! Got one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hi folks. I know I'm asking questions a good bit on here recently and I apologise lol I just like to be sure. I'm trying to get my brother who's in work a new battery for his virago, guy was hesitant to sell me one as I didn't have the code. I can't get the code cause my brothers in work and my drags in the garage getting the breaks looked at so I can't ride over to look. Is the code for the battery really important or should I absolutely wait until I get the right code? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah I agree with the braided lines, I'm going to get them today and have them fitted. I sorta thought the amount of people on yamaha club telling me to get them makes more sense. Hopefully when I leave it in tomorrow he can sort the problem out. Yeah I save changes but doesn't seen to do anything. I'm in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. So I took to the garage I get all work done on my bikes. He came out and looked at the brakes, disc and pads. He said everything seems ok to him and he can't really see anything wrong. I'm leaving the bike in with him tomorrow so he can get a better look and take it for a ride. I also asked about braided break lines and he said he doesn't recommend them on the dragstar but he would on sport bikes. I'm not saying he's right or wrong as he's always been a great help and done really good work every time. Ttaskmaster I've updated my profile a few times but it doesn't seem to change, I'm use the taptalk app and it doesn't seem to save my details. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Braided lines sound pretty essential so would you recommend getting them even if I can't afforded the whole break disc yet? Is it normal for bikes to need a new disc after 6000 miles? I'll take it up on Friday and get it all looked at anyhow. Also I hope you haven't had to punch anyone lol. Not to hard anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Ok I'm taking the bike on Friday to the mechanic, I can't really afford to brake disc and to get it fitted which is annoying. At least not this week. What do braided break lines do? I've seen some for £20 on eBay. Wondering if I should go ahead and buy them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Bolts are right I don't think the break has ever been dropped. Break pads look ok to me aswell so I'll think I'll bring it up to the bike shop and let them take a look at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Slice. Great help, so glad I found this yamaha club, it's handy as fuck and very helpful. I'll go check out the disc and see what I need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah I'll order all the things myself. Although I'm abit skint at the minute and the front break disc is dear enough from looking on eBay. Why would I need a disc break? Would new break pads not do or will I be better with the disc? I'll be sending it to a professional no way am I messing with the brakes lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Oh sorry, didn't see "noise" last paragraph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I'm shit at working on bikes, like seriously shit. I can charge the battery and thought I was amazing once cause I tightened the chain on my old virago. So what do you suggest I do? Can yas explain in complete amateur terms lol. Rubber lines? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm wondering about the front breaks on the dragstar. When I pull on the break it's feels strange, it's like it stops, goes abit, stops, it's sorta hard to explain. When I bought the bike there was 6000 miles on her. I'm wondering should I get new break pads? How are dragstar breaks generally? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yesterday I took these 2 attachments that where for a windscreen on the bike, I didn't realise if I done this the forks would rise up, which they did. Well one did, I didn't take the other attachment of the other side. I had to lift the handle bars up with a friends help and put the screw in again. I think this has what has give me the weird feeling lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I love my dragstar 650 but today I was out on her and it just felt different from usual. I don't really know how to explain it. I'm pretty certain nothing is wrong with the bike just some days it feels different from others lol. This ever happen to anyone else? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That's good news, thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hello! Just wondering does anyone know how many miles roughly you get out of a full tank on a dragstar 650 classic? I'm doing a trip from Belfast to Donegall so just need an idea. I tend to fill up every 65miles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks mate for the detailed answer, I'm a complete novice at working on a bike so i for sure won't be trying it myself. It's dear enough but luckily I know a decent mechanic who is a friend somewhat. Although if you had 3 mechanics sweating over it I dread to see what he will be like. I'll maybe wait until around the time it needs changed and try the led lights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hi folks. I was told here that I should not use the passing lights (right name?) on my dragstar as it will kill the battery, I am wondering is there anything I can do to be able to use them without this happening? I frequently use a long country road at night and the extra light would help and it feels safer having them, a lot of crazy car drivers on that road. I'd really love to use these lights but don't wanna mess the battery up or get stranded. Thanks Heading to bed now so if I don't reply I'm not being a dick and will back to you in the morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
