  1. If you earn the money, you should be able to spend it on whatever you want.
  2. Just gonne point out. I can pick up my 125 when it's flat on it's side with one hand. (don't ask how I know that...) See! I have at least 1 thing going for me!
  3. I'm confused, I now have a load of people telling me it's dangerous for me to ride anything bigger than a 125, maybe 175 or 200, yet none of them seem to have taken into account what it's actually like to have to use one every day and the problems with it, but I do agree to some point, a 16 yer old idiot shouldn't be tursted with anything significant, but I do hole heartedly believe that the limits are too harsh. The govenment is trying to solve the problem is inexperianced riders by giving them smaller and smaller engines, when the real problem is they they are on the road with 2 hours of on road experiance and some idling round a car park. Honestly I disagree with the idea of being able to ride on L plates, but here I am doing it anyway because I'm stupid and a hypocrite. They are exactly the reason I've started using a helmet camera, I'm done with there shit to be honest, every time someone trys to endanger me I just email the footage directly to my local police station. I no longer have an patience for people who do crap like that. I mentioned that truck driver earlier, I was very close to becomming a mess on the road because of him, I'm already done with drivers after only 8 months. So now if they bite me, I let the police bite back for me. I highly encorage more riders to use helmet cameras, the investment is worth it, you get ten fold back from what you out in.
  4. A little constructive critisism. (from someoen who watches a lot, and I mean a lot of motovlogs) Not the most interesting vlog I have ever watched, it's as if you don't seem to have an idea of what to talk about, or any real topic at all, honestly it was a littl boring. I surgest maybe deciding upon a topic before hand, thinking about it and making some mental points to cover, logic, opinions, news, ideas etc etc etc. Then make a vlog. That way there will be...well...actual content. But none the less, for attempt number 3, not bad, camera angle is perfect, sound quality is as good as any big vlogger, editing, whilst crude it does it's job well enough, but you need to cut out the pauses a little better, you say something and theres a 3 second gap. You've earnt a sub, I'll take the bait in the hope of a new vlogger.
  5. The fact I have to ride to college in it every day, and that by the time I cover the trip I'm so cold I have to touch my hands on my smolderingly hot exhaust pipe so that I'm able to move my hands enough to undoo my helmet buckle...... Apart from that its grand!
  6. Wait, these bikes are going to £1600 in good condition....me wonderes if I can turn a proffit on my YBR custom...
  7. Hehehehe, not enoguh people get this XD welcome, friend.
  8. aloha Welcome to the forum, I'm new as well.
  9. Thing that confuses me...don't car's live outside? Unless your running a Model T as your daily driver I don't see why you'd put it inside. High crime area? Delecate car? Or do you just like having it inside? Anyway, IT WAS YOUR WIFES FAULT! Can we see a picture of the damage? (if it can be picked up by a camera)
  10. 17, I wanted a bike at 16, but come on, limited to 30....nope, no thanks. 7.2 cubic inches I can do, but 3....nope. Assholes indeed, I once had a truck merge into my lane and run me off the road because "he thought I'd move out of his way", and I had no way of moving out of the path of this hulking behemoth of a vehical, thankfully the bike was fine and the driver got punched (I know I shouldn't have but come on, he should be sharing a cell with Big Richard for that) Right, I think I'll do my A1 (provided the law is the same by the time I have the cash) I understand you can't have a 17 year old with a 160bhp CBR fierblade but I mean come on, there are ice cream trucks with more stick than my bike, that's unacceptible, it's dangerous to be on a bypass or motorway, 200 or 250cc would be more reasonable to me. But ohh well, these laws are made by men who don't even know what a CDI is... Thatnk's for the help EDIT: Also, maybe it'd be an idea to update the sticky thread? That ones the 2013 law and is very outdated (but one I wish we still used)
  11. Maybe look at bikes in the same(as close as) condition, and put it up a frew hundred since you've got it in sich lovely shape and all those spare parts, it's definately worth more than your average second hand WR, but then again, like he said it's only worth what someone will pay for it.
  12. Congrats dude! You now own your bike and it's all paid off!....but it's as good as useless now that you don't want it... Unless it's amazing condition I wouldn't get my hopes up for 1.6K, there are cheaper options that people will take, I got my YBR Custom for 1K, great bike. I'd lower the price, but I suppose it doen't hurt to try yoiur luck.
  13. Right, I'm on L plates, I HATE them, people see them as big signs that say "I'm a virgin with no life, run me off the road at every chance". I did a (naughty) experiment when they "accidently" fell off, and found people are much more respectfull and reasonable when they don't see a big loser plate hanging off me like a tumor on my machine. People pulled out on me less, gave me more room and actually treated me with respect instead of randomply shouting at me for going too slowly up a 22% gradient with a hole 7.2 cubic inches of wet fart pushing me allong, and most importantly, they tail gaited me less Why, why was this? It wasn't a 1 day thing, on the 4 times they have "accidently" fallen off I've found this to be true, it's as if people hate us. /rant Anyway, I want yto do me A1, may be pointless right now since I can't get a bigger bike, but I've been riding 8 months and feel very confident in my ability to be able to pass the test first time (but I'll take the one with 3 days intensive training just to be sure, the extra £60 is worth it). Also, I have my dignity, and that plate mines at it. So, I go to the GOV site to find out, and as usual there site is about as useful as a chocolate piston, information seems contradictory to itself and is scattered around in random places, none of it seems to relate to anything and often contradicts other rules. It doen't make any sense, then again nor does the current test scheme. (Seriously, I have to wait till 21 for a big bike, but someone who is fresh off there car test can hop in a 5.8L dual super charged mustang....ok govenment, well done) So I just want to ask, what are the CURRENT test laws? (however ridiculous they are this year) I just want to know where I stand on this up hill struggle to get a bike with more power than the average fart. (yes that was very rantly)
  14. I don't think I can add pictures likie onje of you asked, I remember in sign up that somewhere it said I have to pay foir that. Not sure though. And if I can, how?
  15. I agree to check this, but I somehow doubt it. I'm gonna guess a stuck valve.
  16. If it where me I'd wait, pay off the YBR and sell it priavtely, then but a new bike on finance, or save up and just outright buy it. Also I'd get a supermoto, ultimate in parcticality, but you sem set on your XJ6s.
  17. I have the same bike, same year, and I use a continental on the back and front. great tyres, decent grip, last a long time, not tooo expoensive. I'd reccomend them.
  18. What a knob. I hate it when people condem bikes when they have no idea what they're talking about, everyones entitled to an opinion, but that means I am too, and I think he's a cock.
  19. Aloha, my names Joe, I'm from north Wales, I live on a big hill and I ride a Yamaha YBR Custom 125 (yes a 125, please don't throw rocks), I've been riding for 8 months, still on L plates (like riding around with a big sign that says "I'm a virgin and you should crash into me"), I use a helmet camera because in North wales people don't know how to drive, and when I do get my full licence I have no doubt I'm going to end up with as many bikes as my pay cheque allows because I just can't decide what I want when I get a big bike. That's about all you need to know condensed into as short a post as possibe. Just found this forum when wandering round the internet looking for some information and thought I'd sign up since it looks interesting.
