Hi guys a friends work mate had a crash on his dt125r and bent the forks so I went and had a look it sounded all good looked rough but sounded good would tick over tho but I took the gamble and brought it:) it's a 1998 dt125r 3bn 8months m.o.t and 8months tax £450 got it home have it a clean and ordered some new forks off flea bay witch the left fork leg witch came was shagged :/ so had to use the bent forks internals got it all up and running still couldn't get it to tick over tho (air mix screw was sized) so I went for a ride and it rode like a bag off shiiiite got home whipped off the exhaust it was fully restricted and had been for a long long time had to take the powervalve out and clean it before it would spin! Done that went out again and after it cleared out it ran well in powervalve but off the valve was rough left it over night came out had an other ride and I'm gonna say the crank seals have gone it's real rough on low speeds and slowing down it jumps back and forward so motor out full rebuild every part being replaced! Parts are all from fowlers off Bristol yamaha dealers £389.99 on parts! And at this time thought I may as well have a little project! So stripped it down snapped an engine bolt while at it dont think its hard to tell it wasn't looked after lol bolts snapped all over the place! Frames being sent off to be powered coated black next weekend! All new plastic have been ordered! Have a friend that hydro dips got a few parts goin to him! I will upload more photos and so on hope you enjoy as much as I am PLEASE UP LOAD PHOTOS OFF YOUR DT125r so I can see and get some insperation cheers guys!

I was looking one off these for mine but I've gone for the dep! You got boyson racing reeds Init? It'll be even more responsive on the throttle!! And where did you get them fork protectors?

I got it out got an 8mm nut put a big blob off weld over it and just kept tightening and it twisted out enough for me to get some vise grips on it cheers for the help tho mate lest some one replied

Can any one please help I don't know what to do!? I've got stud extractors but I don't think they'll be man enough and don't want to snap one in there...

I know it's not nice lol it's pretty much just been road never looked after so many bolts snapped but at that's part off restoring it I guess and this bit here It's an bolt holding the engine in under the main swinging arm bolt :'(

Hi guys I've posted before and got no reply witch is gay:( it hurt! but anyway I've got a dt125r 1998 3bn it's in a sorry state crank seals have gone I brought it to bring it back to life plus Ibe always wanted a dt and thought this is the chance to make it just how I want it in stead off pay £1000+ for one Down to it ive stripped it down ready for the frame to be powder coated and to crack on with the motor rebuild (being done by a friends dad) I've popped out all the engine blots out and the swinging arm bolt when to take the motor out then realised there was one more bolt under the swing arm bolt little 12 bolt with no nut (when I said it was in a sorry state I mean it was left in the rain a lot don't think it was cleaned in the last 2 years the amount off road dust and gacky oilly stuff on engine was nuts but yeah plastic bolts snapped left right and senter) when I tried to undo the bolt it snapped the real shit thing is I didn't even try hard a lot off the bolts are so weak :/ any one got any ideas on how I can get the bolt and engine out? :/ I thought I'd ask on here before trying as some one might off had the same problem and I know some ppl on here are shhhhit hot! Would a yz carb keinhin pj 36mm carv fit on my 1998 dt125r? I have one laying around and wounded if it would fit if I jetted it? Along side boyson racing reeds and dep exhaust? Would it fit? The in take is 35mm what's the dt's mainifold and so on.. Cheers guys!

Just got my sell a dt125rr 1998 at a steal off £450:) mot and tax!! She had a little crash and I'm In the middle off fixing her up:) could do with a few pointers I posted in the work shop first not knowing about this new members bit I'm a proper nood lol if any one could help and fill me in on bits and bobs would be grate!
