  1. Just a bit of info needed from those in the know. Im in need of some bulbs for the dash of my thundercat. The temp gauge doesn't illuminate at all and only half the rev counter seams to illuminate. Can someone please tell me what bulbs they take then I can pre order them before I dismantle it? Cheers in advance Andy
  2. Welcome. How local to nelson are you?
  3. Judging from your user name your local to me... im a Nelson lad. If you ever fancy a ride out to the bridge give us a shout.
  4. Im up here most sundays so if you see an 02 plate thundercat parked up it will be me
  5. To be honest what they teach on the cbt is a fraction of what I learnt for my full licence. I had been on the 125 for only 3 months and couldn't believe how many bad habbits id picked up in that time. Its all geared around keeping you alive which with how many bad car drivers are on the road can only be a good thing. If you break it down in terms of cost deducting test fees, petrol, insurance, bike, maintenance, safety equipment there isn't much left to claim as a wage. I know my wife spent a hell of a lot more recently getting her car licence.
  6. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem? The mirrors on my thundercat are way too narrow. No matter what angle I set them at all I see is either my jacket or the hedgerows. So iv purchased some replacements. R6 items to be precise. The stems look a lot longer but the base has studs rather than screw holes. Has anyone done this conversion before that can offer any advice?
  7. Iv just completed my full licence. Did my cbt back in April. Booked a week of work to do it. Day 1 training for mod 1. Day 2 morning training and test in aftetnoon. Day 3 road training and day 4 morning training and test in the afternoon. Total cost was £590
  8. Good news. Passed my test on thursday. Went out on a full days ride round the lakes on Saturdays. Have to say im well impressed with the thundercat. Big grin factor machine
  9. Sorry I didn't make it. I didn't set of from Frodsham classic show till about 1 o clock and having to stick to a roads I didn't reach Halifax until 4. Didn't see much point carrying on.
  10. Me and my pal pull up on a car park in Hose north Yorkshire and across the road a blue thundercat catches my eye. The cafe we go in has a customer sat with his back to the door wearing a yam t shirt. Not rocket science to work out which is his bike. Anyway after a brief chat we go our separate ways. So I would just like to say "nice to meet you" but I can't remember your name sorry. [emoji4]
  11. Ah FTO eh. Bings back fond memories. I too am a big fan of JDM. My first taste was a galant import, then fto followed by my latest which was a 400r replica skyline r33 which I sold back in may. Good luck with her pal
  12. Im hoping to make this and drag a few buddies over too. Will there be a pre meet at some point where we can get together and convoy in to the show? This was something the skyline owners club used to do and was good fun.
