  1. As above , try bump starting in 2nd gear , if it goes you've a starter problem , if not you'll have to dig deeper . Best of luck .
  2. Good ! Now get a solicitor to screw the fecker !
  3. The correct wires need to meet .
  4. There's fitting kits available for those things ,
  5. Nice "patina" , lol . Should be easy to get running , I'd say she'd fly along !
  6. If you remove the handgrip and throttle tube you should be able to see where the clips locate ,
  7. Hey , Result on the tank !! I don't know why all suspension linkages don't have grease nipples ? Cost I suppose , although you wouldn't imagine a couple of grease nipples'd cost the earth . Whenever I need seals my first stop is a local engineering place , they usually have what I need (as long as I've kept the old one's for reference ).
  8. Trailie riding position is much better for beginners .
  9. That's a nice little bike ! I'd get it running well and keep it the way it is mate .
  10. Good man Tiberius ! lol ! Nice little bike . I thought it was one o' the RS50's .
  11. Thieving Scum!! I hope you get your bike back man .
  12. Commiserations Slice . My old Grandad was in Burma (RAF) . Never spoke a word about it .
  13. Don't forget to oil the feckin' thing as described above or it will feckin' snap !!
  14. Hi there , best o' luck with your new bike ! Get a manual as soon as you can .
  15. Lovely bike , take it easy ! My brother bought a new CB500X the other day . He wanted a change from his VFR800 .
  16. Check your clutch is engaging properly if the bike rolls easily when in gear with the lever out .
  17. A non O-ring chain used with a Scottoiler ,or Kev's patented method of oiling a little and often with clean engine oil , will last longer than any O/X-ring chain lubed with spray crap . And will always stay clean with no horrendous gunk monsters hiding behind the front sprocket cover .
  18. Nice FJ . Was it hard to find the blue spot brakes ? I'm looking a set for my 350LC build . Welcome !
  19. A few drops of engine oil applied to the chain before you ride is as good as any . Just be sure not to get any on tyres or brakes .
  20. DON'T put a used rear tyre on the front of your bike !!! It's lethal mate . I did so in an emergency once and it was terrifying . Think handling like a Lego motorbike and you'll get the idea . Best to stick with the recommended .
  21. Good stepladder tip that !
  22. Is Patricia still in the game , or is she drawing the pension now ??
  23. That's not so unusual . I've lost count of the times I've had a puncture first time out on a new tyre . A plug kit is a must and will fit under the seat (I like the long sticky "liquorice bootlace" type best).
