What sise is the wheel ?? And what tyre is listed for it ??
  3. Dunno mate , but they're designed for the dirt don't forget .
  4. Ah , I stand corrected ! A bloke not far from where I live had one in the same colours with a tasty bit of tuning done . You should've seen him go by the local beer garden on the back wheel . I bought a few brand new bikes for work but I don't think there were any unbroken plastics on them after the first year or so . Feckin' cagers !! I've been riding since I was 17, I'm 47 now , and still don't have a car licence , lol .
  5. If I had that bike I'd be out with the polish too mate , lol . Most of my bikes were courier hacks and even when brand new they had a pretty tough time of it . Lets just say it's hard to polish the plastics when they are scattered all over the city ,haha ! The Thundercat was Yamaha's answer to the Fireblade if I remember right .
  6. Thar was funny !! I'd never heard o' those guys .
  7. Try changing gear without the clutch (up changes only !!) , it might help isolate where the "crunch" is coming from . (clutch or gearbox )
  8. Hi there ! MT 09 's a lovely bike . I'm not too well up on the different model/yrs .
  9. Nice one Dutch ! I'll be having some of that when the permafrost fecks off , lol
  10. Try pricing a replacement second hand engine Stevie , it may well work out quicker , cheaper and easier in the long run . After you work out what's broken obviously . Best of luck mate
  11. Looks brand spanking George !
  12. Yep ! Go say Hi in the New Members section . You'll get a lot more replies that way , and maybe someone will be able to help you out . Best o' luck .
  13. I'm not really getting what you mean there Kye . Could you try to borrow/get from a breakers , the same coil that's on the bike . There's not much point in buying loads of coils unless you're sure that the wiring and other electrical components are in good nick . Did you check the output from the genny , i.e. is there any ?
  14. I'd try to borrow a coil first Kye , just to make sure .
  15. I really like the TDM in green . And I've often forgotten to switch the petcock back to the "ON" position after filling up . lol .
  16. Did you take the carbs off to clean 'em mate ?? Did you seal up the airbox correctly ??
  17. Take no notice Trig , theyre just being smartarses. I suggest you brush the loose earth away with a feather duster and store the bike indoors to prevent any re-occurrence of this misfortune .
  18. Hey , well done Dennis ! Congrats!!
  19. Why do you want to change them ferg ? If they're not a straight swap you could have a lot of hassle making them fit . For the front it might be as easy to swap the whole front end if it would fit . I'm not familiar with your model of bike but there's others on here who are . I've done a bit of mixing and matching with bikes, and like I said , it can be straightforward or a nightmare .
  20. Hi Grouch , I use an old scottoiler bottle that has a plastic tube attached .Before you ride , put the bike on the mainstand , spin the wheel , and squirt some oil on the chain . Takes 30secs , I use oil leftover after oil changes (not the old stuff , although you could) . My chain's always clean , no gunk , and they last pretty well .
  21. The weather seems to be getting warmer here in the Sunny South East , I'm looking forward to some good weather .
