  1. Cynic by name I guess. It was already stripped out when I got it. That's why I just want to know the basics of how to get the engine running, to test the engine. I will get more in depth with lights etc once I know the engine is sound
  2. Cheers Tommy, I'll check it out, much appreciated.

  9. Hi lads, I picked up the exhaust today and fitted it but looks like it doesn't quite fit right? It's all butted up and nice and tight but there is a bit of a gap in between the collar and the engine. Not sure if it's right or not? file://localhost/Users/thomasbing/Desktop/exhaust.jpg file://localhost/Users/thomasbing/Desktop/exhaust%202.jpg Hopefully these photos will attach... Cheers, Joe

  14. Hi, I'm new to the site and wondered if anyone could help me at all. I am restoring/bobbing a 1980 XS250 and am looking for an exhaust. As far as I can tell/know, the XS400 and 250 engines are very similar. Does anyone know if an XS 400 exhaust fit an 250 at all? Also, I'm going to lower the back end from 350mm which is what are on there at the mo to probably 280mm. Are the mounting sizes a universal size or will I have to buy some shocks especially for the XS250? If anyone could help me I would be very greatful. Cheers, it is very much appreciated. 15. Yep, not the best reader. I'll try and find out how to delete this post to stop the confusion... Cheers
  16. Hi there, I've recently bought a 1980 xs250 to restore/bob and it's my first bike (complete novice-ish) I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire and am a freelance photographer for a BMX magazine. With the combination of spare time and riding a BMX for 15 years getting a motorcycle feels kinda natural. Anyways, hello to everyone and thanks for having me. Joe [sharedmedia=garage:vehicles:999]
