Thanks for the replies. I'll try them and see if it's registered to them.
Thinking if it's datatagged it might reduce my insurance premiums a bit.

Had a good look round the Divvy today and treated it to a wash and ACF50.
I noticed that all the fairings and the tank have what looks like a security mark on them. I've looked online and can't find anyone who seems to use this particular mark and was hoping someone on here might be able to shed some light.
The mark is DAT followed by a seven digit number etched in black dots.
My first thought was datatag but looking at their website this doesn't look like what they use.
Anyone have any ideas??

So, I've had the bike for two days. Still getting used to it (as Tommy says she's very different to the TR1). And I haven't been on a bike since October.
And I thought it would be jolly fun to go to Loomies Cafe down the A339 in the dark.
For those who don't know it, the 339 is pretty much all corners.
I must be mad. My arse was twitching like a rabbit's nose all the way there.

Picked her up last night She's great went round some back roads and then onto the M3. Had a job keeping her down to 80.
I'm properly fixed now. My first therapy session since October.

Thanks guys, she's a 1998 model (the youngest bike I've ever owned) and I can't wait to get my hands on her.

It's sad that there are people in the world who actually believe this tripe.

Update: Seller wants the bike gone sooner than next weekend so picking it up as soon as I can get the tax and insurance sorted.
Meatloaf: I was given the OK by the Doc and signed off by the Physical Terrorist three weeks ago so yes, all ready to ride and itching to get back on.

Had a bee hit me in the throat at 80 on the M25. Didn't sting me but hurt like hell. I never ride without something protecting my neck since then. And I was startled by the bumble bee that I hit. I can see I've never really lived

Drewpy, if that EP was called The Soundhouse Tapes you were robbed. It's as rare as rocking horse shit and worth a mint.

Have to agree. Never had one in the visor but had a big B**tard fly into my chest while riding through Kent. Nearly knocked me off the bike and left a pigeon sized bruise.Pigeons , yea pigeon in your visor on the motor way ! now that's my pet hate .

I've been a fan of Maiden since the eighties and I've seen several videos like this but I have to say I quite enjoyed this one. Never seen it done with cellos before. Violins, recorders, even bagpipes, but never cellos. :-)

I used Halfords petrol resistant lacquer on my tank. It did the job, never any problems after spilling a few drops while filling up.

Well done. Now get out and enjoy the XJ

Check the ceramic around the plug electrode. A small crack could allow the spark to 'leak out'.
