  1. just done all that.. i replaced the front wheel bearings just in case and i also changes the fork oils seals. i did notice the yellow dot on the rear tyre was not lined up so i reseated that... it has got better tho and it only has a slight wobble now when I'm traveling at 70..
  2. That was one of the first things I did. I took the new tyre right of and had a new innertube and the tyre refitted by a motorcycle workshop and got them to check it was seated properly... the only things i haven't done is replace the fork oil seals and I'm going to put another new set of front wheel bearings in just incase they are faulty as i did buy them from fleabay.. to all the others that posted i took her for a run and she still hasa small wobble.. more like a shake now..
  3. yep just done a full "is everything tight check?". and now that its dry down ere ill take it for a run and let you guys know later... cheers to all of you for your helpfull infomation i will keep you informed..
  4. ha ha dumb ass here just noticed that he hasnt torqued the front brake caliper up...
  5. I havent had chance to check it in the dry as we seem to be having the uk's annual rainfall down here at the mo so all my riding checks are done on wet roads..
  6. Ok from the top..... no it's not crossing the white line the wobble isn't severe but noticable, the tyre is a maxxi classic as recomended to me. i have checked the front psi and it's at 32. i have no bitch seat. their is no play in the swing arm i changed the bearings last weekend and have checked them again when i had the bike up in the air doing the headstock bearings. the tyre I bought is the recomended size in the handbook 100/90-19". the bars are rubber mounted. i have done a realignment on the forks which has helped..
  7. nope my arse hasnt prolapsed yet but in this weather i may be close..
  8. I forgot to ad I've also changed the fork springs as the originals wer fooked and ive also checked them for correct fluid levels and pumped them to make sure of no air gaps..
  9. I will add i had this before i changed everything. i was hoping all the work i did would have fixed it..
  10. i have changed all the bearing from front wheel, swing arm bearings head stock bearings i upgraded to racers. rear wheel bearings are also new and ive had a new front tyre fitted and balanced about two days ago.. @ cynic it's more that i can feel it than see it more in my hands and legs. I'm wondering if it might need to get the front aligned?
  11. Hey all you peeps i have a queery and would like some help... i have got a wobble on my xvs650. I've changed all the bearings from the front to the back, I've had my front and rear tyres checked and balanced ive also checked the frame for bad dents and cracks just to make sure but it's still there.. it only seems to occure when im between 60/70mph..

  14. Hey all. I want to put a set of 16" ape hangers on my xvs650 and was just wondering if anyone out there can tell me where I can get a set of control cables made or where I can get a universal kit from? would prefer to buy in the U.K but if anyone knows of a cheaper option abroad I would go further afield.. would prefer stainless steel.
  15. Cheers slice. may see you on the road sometime...
