  8. Hey guy and welcome to the forums, I know what you mean about bikers not noding any more. I only started a few years ago and in that time I've seen I drop in nods, I personaly always nod its make you feel like your in a family and when if I'm having a bad ride (not often) it always makes me feel better..Plus how many car drivers do you see talking to fellow drivers at lights or waving at each other when they go past.....it's a small thing but it's another joy of biking the community and I think we have to work to keep that going. Take care x .
  9. Hey hun welcome, good luck with your tests ect look forward to hearing all about your ride outs ect take it easy x

  14. Hey there all, i know i know the weather is leaving much to be desired but as long as we put on an extra layer on we'll be fine, any one round surrey or kent, sussex, essex want to ride out let me know I'm not letting the clouds bring me down as long as its dry I'm up for a burn long or short .
  15. Hey there, first of all sweet ride, I have a Remus can on mine and is sounds sweet as, i didnt want anything to load either but i found with Remus the sound was perfect and the price is right too, i payed 180 for end can. As for clocks ebay or a scrappy would be your best and cheapest bet, years ago they used to do stickers that went over the top of the dials but for some reason they stoppped making them, if all else fails go to Yamaha but they will charge the earth, Its a simple enough job that you can do yourself so at least you'll save on labour, Good luck let us know how you get on.

    BOGS

Hey there well it sounds like it could be mis-firering, that would explain the high revs you need to pull away. I would try changing the spark plug and leads, clean and balance the carbs, also check the valve clearances. I've heard that valves need to be checked about every 16k miles, take it to a garage and get a good service done (or if your able do it yourself) and i would think that would do the trick. Hope that helps dude good luck.
  17. Hey there Alex, Wow mate thats one hell of a trip, my thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone who is taking part and what a great cause, I really hope you do well GOOD LUCK You have to post up when you get back Take care dude
  18. Hey there, i've just been on a web site www.motorcycle-road-and-race.co.uk and they have lowering kits for everybike, most cost 85 quid but some of the sportbikes are 140 hope this helps take it easy fella

Any one from Surrey area fancy a burn sometime let me know either here or PM me Take it easy guys happy ridding x x
  20. Hey there all, as some of you know almost 4 months ago i managed to blow the engine of my 1998 thundercat, well after many failed lumps and losted ebay bids ect i got a genuine 1,800 miler with paperwork, clocks, swing arm, rear shock, manifold and black power bronze screen....and this is the best part £340 the guy just wanted to clear his garage and i was very happy to clear it for him lol, Lady luck was with me that day lol Hartgate's in mitcham fitted all for £300 and i picked her up friday i've riddin her once and shes sweet as and feels just like new, so i wantedto say a big thanks for everyones help and ideas ect and if any one from Hatrgate is reading this big thanks to you too.
  21. Hey there Lisa Welcome to the forums. Nice ride
  22. Hey there tono. Good luck with your tests ect . my 1st bike was a 1998 thundercat which i still have to this day. As much as an R6 would be awsome fun untill you get some miles under your belt i dont think you'll get the most out of it. The thundercat is a great all rounder i used mine everyday in the summer to and from work and even scotland and back a few times and i've never suffered with a numb arse!!! i seem to run out of road or petrol for that matter first lol . The cat is a very forgiving bike and allows you to have fun (eg knee down prctice with confidence) and wont through a wobbley if you take a line wrong and want to change. There is plenty of grunt to keep you happy i've top out at 156mph (on isle of man) which isn't bad i've even whipped a few blades round the twistys. There cheap to insure and you should expect 160miles per tank. All in all the thundercat is a very underestimated bike and i think you'd be more than happy with one, there are plenty of spares and they look sexy as lol which ever bike bike you get enjoy and happy ridding x
  23. Hey there, there is a company called stealthproducts.co.uk who do lots of funky thing for bikes including forks and shocks and stuff like that, if you cant find what your looking for you can call the number and ask, they are very helpful and informative so if they dont stock something they will know were to get it. failing that ring your local dealer/garage they should be able to help. Hope that helps you good luck mate.
