  1. In case you don't know about Nancy, click to watch the video where the restoration starts with the big strip down: Nancy gets dissassembled...
  2. I'm trying to rustle up some interest in racing the TZ 350 in the ICGP - we still have to find some cash to make the first round in Spain. Loads of people are always searching Ebay for bike and racing related stuff, so to catch their eye and use Ebay as a promotional tool I've put up the chance to be a supporter as an Ebay item. Click here to see it. Includes of short video of our recent test at Brands. However, if you do want to support our ICGP race efforts, you can do it direct via my website and that'll save me the Ebay fees! Cheers. Mike.
  3. Confession time, before you watch Eurosport... To be honest, my memory of the race is that it won't look all that 'epic' on telly - I led almost from start to finish, so not that spectacular. Phil was more interesting, behind me, all frenzied and working up a sweat - whereas my style is so boring, "old style" that I actually look like I'm out for a Sunday ride; I don't have a very dynamic riding style to watch, but I find it very efficient... Bloke.
  4. An epic battle that I had with Phil McCallen at the Macau GP in 1995. I'm really chuffed to be included in the Eurosport 'Best Battles - Bikes' - it's a bit humbling really, there are some top doers being featured - anyway our race is Boxing Day 7pm British Eurosport. Me and Phil on GP500s - what a race... Bloke.
  5. Click the photo to go to the video: Nice eh? Bloke. Full Website
  6. Yes Daz, I use the secure online system PayPal, so it is all external to my site, and subject to their stringent security; if you click on this link you can get straight to the paypal donation bit and the other bit if you want to leave me your details, how many calendars you would like, and any dedications. Address details / Paypal Cheers. Bloke.
  7. So, that's the posting over - they are all out and in the system - it's up to Mr. Postie now for the delivery. If you think I should have sent you one, and might have forgotten, or would like to request one for the first time, please get in touch. There are some great shots of Peter Day's beautifully prepared FZR400RRSP - all photos were online this year for a public vote - and the FZR features quite a lot. We know it's the credit crunch, and difficult for everyone - but any donations, no matter how small, towards p&p&p (production, postage, packing) are most gratefully recieved - and thanks go out to those who have contributed already. Calendar request / donate You don't want to know how much we've spent, but hey - they look nice... Bloke.
  8. The only one I can think you might mean is Dave Woollams. He sometimes puts in an appearance at the Louth reunion. It's tomorrow - I'm getting scared already... Mike.
  9. SAT 15th NOV 2008 - 3PM TIL VERY LATE - THE GOLDEN FLEECE, LOUTH Think you can still save it? Celebrate the glory years, and remind us all how fast you were... A note from the TZR website: Celebrating a time when racing an LC on a tiny budget was a first step to international stardom for riders of the caliber of Niall MacKenzie and others, the Marlboro Clubmans championship oppitomised all that was great about motorcycle racing in the 1980's. A few die hards who cut their racing teeth in quarter-litre production racing are still hard at it - take a look at Mike Edwards for example - having had a career that took him from 250 proddy racing at 3-Sisters to a works Harley at Daytona, via British Championships, the NW200, Macau and World Endurance, he is still enjoying racing at a high level in the IHRO and European Singles championships. Meanwhile, other similarly gifted riders from the 80's have made recent returns to the grids and their successes have proved that despite their advancing years, the term "once fast - always fast" holds true. Curt Langan and Charlie Corner are fine examples of this - call them mid-life crisis if you like, but if recent rumours of a comeback by Gordon Allott are true….(a man who Fred Clark once labelled as "The hardest rider in Pro-am"),...then more than a few eyebrows, not to mention glasses, will be raised. This years event falls on Saturday Nov 15th, as usual at The Golden Fleece in Louth for 3pm onwards - all are welcome. Blasts from the pasts such as Gary Noel, Clifton Tabbiner, Dale Robinson, Chris Stokes, Kevin Mawdsley, Dave Grigson and John Corrin are already confirmed, along with a very strong contingent from the Mallory Mafia - Jim Clow, Andy Muggleton, Dave Butler, and Steve Bevington, so it promises to be a good do...
  10. Okay, thanks everyone who has voted so far. I want to really get the calendar design sewn up by the end of next week; so have been through and removed any photos with no votes. This weekend I think I will weed out the ones with 2 votes or less - to make choosing easier for new viewers. If you haven't voted, please may I ask that you do - as it just makes my life a bit easier when it comes to picking the final photos. I just like riding bikes, and am not really very good at all this choosing, designing stuff... Cheers. Bloke.
  11. I've been so busy this season that I've got too many great photos to choose from for my calendar. Please can you help by voting on the ones you like best, don't just pick the Yamahas! Voting Album If you would like to make a calendar request, add/update your details you can click here: address form In this time of the 'credit crunch' if you can offer something towards production and p&p then you can always click here: Donate For those who've never seen one of my desk calendars, here's a sample shot of the current edition, sits neatly in a cd sized display case: Cheers, Bloke.
  12. Yamaha Pro-am, Marlboro Clubmans, ACU Star, Juniorstock, TZR Cup - Ultimately, we are talking 250 / 350cc Proddy. 250/350 Production racing from the 80's, spanning Club to the full National level of the Marlboro Clubmans series is celebrated on this website: TZR Website We are looking for some lost addresses, and need to get in contact with people so that we can notify them of the next: “Judgement Night” at The Golden Fleece, Louth - Sat 17th Nov 2007 - 3PM onwards.... be there, be very afraid… Please visit the site, and get in contact if you are one of ‘them’.
  13. Fastest in untimed practice, then the gear linkage broke in timed qualifying, but my out lap was fast enough to secure me 5th place on the grid, just behind pole position. Finished 2nd with a best lap time of 1-16.84; not quite as fast as the 1-15-51 I did on a practice day last year on the minimono - but really good for Gordon. All the words, pictures and video of 'Gordons' latest outing are up now on this link: Gordon's Latest Outing Bloke. Action shot by PLJPhoto.com
  14. Action shot - PLJphoto Gordon loved his run out at Pembrey taking a 2nd in the 5th round of the championship - however it wasn't all plain sailing... Check out his blog Gordon's Blog I am not just pleased with the result though, with all the hard work of his 'special friends' he is now a 'good bike' to ride, and with a couple more tweaks, will become a 'great bike' for the track. Don't forget £60 will get you a 1 in 100 chance to win him. Bloke.
  15. Thanks to all 'Gordons' "special friends" that have helped to get him ready in time for the next round of the Supermono championship at Pembrey. He now has a spanking new, super fancy exhaust by Mark at MHP, and thanks to a new yoke supplied via JDMCC, he can now sport the Ducati forks. All these mods certainly make the £60 for a 1 in 100 chance of winning him look even more attractive. Looking forward to trying out his new set up somewhere before getting on track at Pembrey. Bloke.
