  1. Hey Grouch! hahaha it would seam i changed the oil on the same bike and same day as you. maybe even same oil. was it that red colored Castrol oil in a gold pot? maybe there all like that idk but i have noticed your having trouble with stiff gear change after you changed your oil, just thought that i would let you know that it did NOT have this effect on my bike, all in all seams abit smoother but also more noise? haven't a clue whats going on there..... best of luck matey
  2. Well it would seam there are no green laners in your local area, i am in very much the same position but im in north wales, i only know a few people with road legal bike and they are strictly road bikes. I am even further restricted as i have a 125cc bike and therefore cruising speed on open road is ideally about 50mph so i would imagine alot of people would be pretty pissed having to go slower (much slower in guessing?) then normal . mind you i haven't been doing anything too extreme as i currently have supermoto wheels on the bike (enduro ones are en route!). that being said i have only found a few roads that i haven't been able to travel on at all, as you can do most round here on SM tires but really damn slow LOL) Just remember to let people know where you will be going (at least vaguely) so if anything happens they will know where to come looking. if anything happens there will be no one with you to let others know/get help or whatever. so dont do anything too crazy, just pointing out it really isn't a good idea greenlaning on your own, be safe
  3. hey sorry its taken a while to reply but iv sprayed the parts which i think i will have to unbolt, didn't use plusgas though as i have none (just used whatever was in the shed not sure what it is but iv yet to find a bolt it couldn't loosen up) I have only just got round to ordering the reservoir this evening, so hopefully it will be with me Thursday but we shall see (fingers crossed ) I will defiantly be getting the stainless steel bolts kit in the next few days GREAT RECOMMENDATION as damn near all the factory fitted ones are rusted it's mainly surface but still makes the bike looks alot rougher then it needs to be). Changed the oil and tightened the chain today This was the first oil change since its been mine , and fucking hell did it need it, in the future i will always check the oil on bikes i'm thinking of getting and/or as soon as i get it. poor poor bike. cant be 100% sure if its in my mind or not but seams to go abit nicer too.
  4. yeah i dun goofed hahaha sorry my bad i couldn't figure it out. HOWEVER it would seem that drewpy has fixed it! THANKS DREWPY

  7. ahh plenty of welcome here! I know the A 496 road very well and its even a pleasure on a little 125. Did you know that you can actually go over the big railway bridge in Barmouth on a motorcycle, you do not even have to get off the bike to the best of my knowledge and there dosent seam to ever be anyone in the toll to pay so its a nice free novelty for now normal charge £2.50 . nice to give it ago just for the view and novelty, be warned its a tight fit if you meet anyone coming the other way (especially on a bike) . and i think its open 24/7. Yes dirtyDT DAFFODILS! hahah and we usually consider the 'boyos' to be people from the south wales valleys. there the proper boios isn't it bott Brawdy RAF base? i have heard of a welsh community over in Argentina, a Lady up the road from me is actually going to visit there in the near future , she might have actually have been by now im not sure. she was definitely looking forward anyways. gonna give that wiki page a read now i think. very interesting great site and great people! SOOO much information on here too!
  8. hahaha awesome shambles, just reading ur info under ur pic and i am also in gwynedd hahaha who'd have known. awesome man, neis i weld bobol arall cymraeg yma
  9. agreed! i think ur right there matey (i was told this by my uncle) ,does the size make a difference to the function of the brake? if not i just need to make sure its the same shape and the tube comes strait out of the bottom not at an angle? hmm ebay here i came! cheers DT u may well have saved me a few dollars there!
  10. LOL yeah probably should have been step one from the get go however im a tight git hahahah! no problemo man, ill pick this thread back up when i get a new reservoir. i will go hunting online now. thanks Airhead!
  11. Hey dude looks in great condition! damn near the same bike as mine i even have acerbis bark busters! haha awesome man! main differences being urs is 6 months too a year newer, looks a fuckload tidier and the bark busters are blue on yours (i went for the black ones) ! so your also noticing the lack of top end on this bike, yeah it sucks, having to rag the shite out of the bike to hit 60-70 and then you end up cruising at about 50 to stop the bike from screaming and kinda end up inviting cars to overtake, hey i dont mind em passing as long as they keep there fucking distance i have had a fair few cut back in right in front of me and when i say right in front i mean real close. thats my main prob with it, so im on my way to getting my licance , just passed my theory last week and looking to get some practice on a bigger bike before my module one, which im planing on doing ASAP. if i were u i wouldent bother with the 2t 125 as you will just as soon get bored of that, or maybe ull get a buzz from it a few weeks more but you'll only be looking to upgrade soon after. do ur test matey!
  12. Just realized this should have probably gone in the 'Yamaha workshop' part, if someone can let me know how to move it i will ASAP , sorry gang...rookie mistake
  13. hi there i havent had this bike all that long on about the 3rd week i noticed my back brake was dead, the only resistance in the brake was the spring that brings the lever back up. so i brought it to a stop hopped off and had a look, i noticed that the rear brake fluid reservoir was broken (i would imagine id caught it with my boot getting on or off the bike). so i took it home and removed the reservoir and glued it back together (nice and air tight) left it over night to dry and put it back on the bike the next day. Then I went on the fill the reservoir up with brake fluid and bleed the brake. this is where the real problem comes up, it ill not bleed properly there is fluid coming out of the bleeding nipple after its been pumped a few times and the brake is down (thats how i believe ur meant to do it ) then close the nipple and pump the break up again and repeat? well it keeps bleeding and bleeding but the brake it not getting any firmer and its not actually making the pads move at all, there for i have no rear brake, after half an hour of this i thought that there is 100% something wrong here and decided to just screw the reservoir back tightly onto the bike and leave it to have a think about what could be at fault, as i am tightening up the reservoir back it fucking snapped again!!!! also when pumping the break small air bubbles are going up into the reservoir , is this ment to happen as i dont think it is? (this was before i managed t break the reservoir for the 2nd time) so what th heck is wrong with my bike? LOL any suggestions as to what it might be would be very much appreciated! also any idea where i can get a new reservoirfrom would be great, iv been scouring ebay for days and days, might i have to make a call to the dreaded yam dealer? thanks for your time, effort and expertise i have put a bit of plastic bag over the brake pipe and elastic banded it on nice and tight. it will have to do for now.
