  1. Looks great, I wish I had found this thread a few months back. I put mine back on the road for the Scrapheap Adv to Nymboida - made it but only just. By the end of the ride I was flat on the tank to make 50kph - every seal in the engine leaks and exhaust side of the piston is looking a bit ragged. BTW - I had a hell of a time with the clutch until I washed it out and replaced with ATF type F - much better. I am thinking about a cafe conversion and have the motor out but the countershaft sprocket is welded on so may be difficult to save that in any way that will re-usable ... any ideas? I have really struggled to find correct parts or compatible parts as the bike appears to be a mix and match from several models - thanks for listing the seals that will save me some guesswork any other tips welcome.
  2. Hi I have a 78 AG175 - these are much more like CT than the DT although has reed valve but compression is only 6:1 I am putting it back on the road for a fund raiser but the clutch either slips or grabs no in between. I have checked plates and basket all looks good. Didn't spec the springs as I don't have the know how. The nylon adjuster on the gear change side looks pretty worn but it does function. Could this be oil related I am considering giving ATF a try - any opinions welcome
  3. Hi - I just noticed your post and wanted to touch base - I have a 1974 (approx) AG175 that I am doing up for the Scrapheap Adventure. My bike has very little in common with the DT175 and is more of a cross between a DT125 and a CT175 ie: 19" front wheel, CT175 frame etc. It has been almost impossible to find information specific to this bike... If anyone has a parts or workshop manual I would be very very appreciative.
  4. I have a couple of old twinshock trials bikes and today I am the dubious proud owner of an AG175 - although have not yet taken possession of the bike. I understand that it is a 76 or 77 model and from what I can see it is very similar to the CT2 or CT3 as opposed to the DT175. I am trying to find technical information on the bike. There are plenty of purveyors of manuals but in the past I have often found these to be of poor quality and bad value. Can anyone point me to a resource that will
